House, 3 Bedrooms + Sofa bed, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)
Completely remodeled Historic Craftsman in the heart of downtown Bend. 'Lava Flo' is directly across the street from the McMenamins Old St. Francis School (which includes brewpubs, movie theater, Turkish baths).
The home is set in a quiet residential area on the edge of downtown, in close proximity to restaurants, shops and the Deschutes River. The house has a private, fenced yard with tiered lava rock walls, with a hot tub and incredible amounts of space for entertaining or relaxing.
The home has three bedrooms (one queen, one king, two twins) and two full bathrooms. We have a queen sleeper sofa in the living room (new 4/2018). There is dining room seating for eight, and the kitchen is stocked so you can prepare a meal for a large group. There are original old-growth fir floors throughout. Flo oozes vintage charm and is furnished with new mid-century modern and machine-age vintage furniture.
We use only environmentally friendly cleaning materials on the house and the bedding. We provide hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. We welcome dogs and have equipped the homes with useful information for enjoying Central Oregon with or without a four-legged companion.
All our houses have Wifi, Smart TV, Digital Antennas, stereo systems, A/C, central heat, gas stoves and keyless entry systems.

Great house in an amazing location!
My family and I stayed over Thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The house was very clean and with comfortable furniture and a perfect layout for our family. We had two dogs with us and they loved the fenced in yard. Though they can escape if smart enough or if they like to jump fences. However, this wasn’t a problem for us and we could let the dogs run free without worry. The backyard also has two sitting areas and a small hot tub which was very nice on the chilly nights.
We did have one small issue with the oven but they sent someone out within a few hours on Thanksgiving Day! Absolutely Amazing!
Best part about the house though was the location. You walk out the front door and are pretty much downtown. 8 minute walk to the pine tavern (we timed it)!
We will definitely be staying here again!
Perfect location, very clean, roomy
Six adults stayed for three nights and were very happy with the house. Plenty of room for all of us and it was great having two bathrooms. In downtown, so the young adults could wander around until the wee hours while us older adults went to bed. The hot tub was used multiple times each day! Since we were in town for a family wedding, we didn't have much time for local activities, but we did walk to the Old Mill District and to Drake Park. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location & house
House was clean and well appointed. Would stay here again.
Great house and great location for a Bend weekend.
The house is well equipped and very comfortable. What a great location for experiencing Bend. We will be back. Thanks for making it a wonderful stay for us.
Wonderful downtown Bend house...with extras!
Everything we needed and more. When our "exact" dates weren't available they offered us a night free & waived the dog fee. Location can't be beat, walk across the street to McMenamins and use the free soaking pool passes provided...or walk to many breweries and shops in the downtown area, everything is right there including the river, 5 minute walk. Much better than a hotel! The house has everything you need and we all had a great time. Convenient and so cute...100% recommended!!!
Best House in Bend
This house incredible. We expected to be near or around downtown, but didn't realize we would literally be in the best part of downtown surrounded by trees but a short walk to anything, including the river. Across the street is McMenamins vacation rental homes (which seemed very heavily trafficked and don't have kitchens). Behind those homes is a lovely outdoor bar and patio where we had drinks each afternoon. Cara from Lavabelles gives you passes to the movie theatre and pools, but we never made it. The house itself is lovely. Historic but very well maintained and cleaned with comfortable furniture and well-equipped kitchen. The yard is fabulous. Our car sat in the driveway and we enjoyed something we rarely get to do - meandering around town, eating well (farmers market is a couple blocks away - wed afternoons), going for trail runs from the house...., just enjoying summer and a break from the grind. Loved it and will definitely be back, perhaps to check out another Lavabelles house.
Flo is directly across the street from the McMenamin's Old St. Francis complex and has excellent access to their outdoor patio bar and restaurants.
