About Jenny Singleton
After traveling the world for over two decades on business and for pleasure also, Eric and Jennifer decided to settle down and find a property that was a country escape but near enough to the "city" to balance a cosmopolitan lifestyle with a country one!
Jenny Singleton purchased this Cottage in 2009
Why Jenny Singleton chose Round Hill
Working in New York City and raising our children part-time in Manhattan we knew that we wanted to have more balance. This property gives our family and our guests an escape and time to catch our breath. From the stocked fishing pond to the 26 acres to roam around on, to deer and rabbits and foxes and our resident geese, there is a vibrant community of animals and nature that recharges us continuously. We wanted to share it with others and are delighted that our guests feel the same way we do - they love it!

Absolutely phenomenal! Exceeded expectations!
We had SUCH a wonderful time staying at this beautiful home! Jenny and Eric are incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. When I arrived, they kindly were waiting for me right in the driveway so that could show me around. They were incredibly accommodating and the home is BEAUTIFUL! Every room is so cozy and all the beds have heated blankets (and we were there in January, so I loveeeeed this!). There are tons of vineyards close by and Purcellville is also a quick drive. This place was perfect for my team retreat! High recommend!
Charming country cottage experience
Cottage provided a convenient and enjoyable country escape. Our kids enjoyed exploring the property. Owners were very responsive and welcoming.

Great house for a family or couples enjoying the beautiful country
Lovely house, and even lovelier hosts!
We had a great time visiting the Bluemont area with family. We all highly recommend staying at the Windswept Inn if you’re looking to stay in the area. The location is perfect, in the middle of beautiful and peaceful country, minutes away from great hiking, breweries, and wineries. The pond, stream, and treehouse were a hit for our six year old daughter, and being able to walk in five minutes to a nearby horse farm to feed the horses apples was a surprising treat in between activities. The accommodations were very comfortable, and well thought out, we didn’t want for anything. And to top it off, the hosts were friendly, considerate, and gracious. All in all, we’d all say that if you’re looking for an all around pleasant stay in the Bluemont area, you can’t go wrong with this choice!
Lovely Guest House!
House was so super cute. Loved how personalized everything is. Hosts are very responsive, sweet, and helpful! The location isn’t far from grocery stores if necessary. But more importantly relatively close to wineries and breweries. Staying here instead of a hotel was a great choice.
Had a lovely stay while in town for a friend wedding :)
The village of Bluemont, Virginia had its beginnings in 1770. Its scenic location is a lure to artists and musicians, equestrians and wine connoisseurs, and anyone who craves beauty and serenity of one of the most beautiful areas in the USA. Bluemont the town is on the National Register of Historic Places. There are over 30 wineries surrounding Bluemont, making it one of the top wine destinations in the world, like its neighbor, Middleburg.
The Bluemont Fair is held annually on the third weekend in September. It features juried crafters, a pickle and pie contest, a 10K race, and live music in a variety of styles. While the fair is spread throughout the village, the primary site is the grounds of the Bluemont Community Center at the eastern edge of the village.
Fifteen minutes or so to the south via scenic country roads is the village of Middleburg. Middleburg was established in 1787 by American Revolutionary War Lieutenant Colonel and Virginia statesman John Leven Powell, who purchased the property from Joseph Chinn, a cousin of George Washington.
The town has a rich history, after the turn of the century, the town became a popular destination for foxhunting and steeplechasing, earning it a reputation as the “Nation’s Horse and Hunt Capital” and attracting well-known visitors from all over the country, including President John F. Kennedy.
Middleburg is known for its natural beauty, historic charm, and Southern hospitality. Surrounding the town, you’ll find picturesque countryside, with low stone walls surrounding stately horse farms and cattle grazing in nearby fields–all with the Blue Ridge and Bull Run mountains as a scenic backdrop. With an ideal climate for growing grapes, Middleburg also boasts more than 20 wineries within 30 minutes of this historic hamlet, making it one of the top 10 wine destinations in the world.
