A Gem in Brant Lake
Wow! As yearly vacationers (family of 6 adults) in the Lake George area, I can truly say that this home was fantastic! Bob was there to greet us with a smile when we arrived and took the time to give us a tour and answer any questions we had. As for the house itself...clean, clean, clean...organized, new appliances, tastefully decorated in the Adirondack lake style, comfortable furniture, a deck with a filtered view of Brant Lake with plenty of seating, and a cozy fire pit for relaxing in the evening where we listened to the loons calling well into the night. Central Air kept us cool during our stay and the large living room area gave us the space to relax and unwind in a cozy environment. Access to the quiet Association beach was a two-minute walk away and allowed us spectacular views of the sunset. If you are looking for a vacation rental that is beautiful, quiet, and clean...do yourself a favor and consider this home in Brant Lake.
We would stay again
It was a great house with plenty of room. There was a book that listed the activities and restaurants in the area. The beach was perfect and the kids had a great time in the water.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! LOVED THIS HOUSE!!
I just rented this house last week and it was everything we could have ever asked for! We are two families, each with a son (2 yrs and 18 months). This house has so much SPACE we never felt on top of each other between the families. It was so CLEAN!!! Their appliances were IMMACULATE! So incredible that I am actually writing about appliances! They have two amazing outside hangout areas - the front porch where you can see the lake and enjoy a nice dinner and the fire pit which had plenty of seating options for us. At night the driveway has amazing views of the stars - you can see the milky way and shooting stars. It is also so CLOSE TO THE BEACH, under 2 minute walk with all your gear and carrying kids.
Now about the beach - it was perfect for our kids! Very gradual decline that makes it easy for the kids to play without worry. The sand was perfect for building sand-castles. The adults would even take turns floating out on tubes to go out further. What few other groups were at this beach, all were very friendly (but still respected your privacy) and made you feel comfortable being there. While we didn't get a chance to see it, the sunset from there must be amazing as we saw groups coming down right before it.
This house is CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! We found 3 - 4 golf courses within 30 mins so we had options for where to play. It was about 30 mins to get to Lake George and under 45 to the Saratoga Race track. It was great being able to have so much available in under an hour. We also enjoyed breakfast sandwiches at the nearby Lazy Moose and there was a nice downtown type area that looked to have some cool restaurants. There was plenty of roadside firewood to purchase at reasonable prices - one that even let you choose the type of wood you wanted.
Every Friday night during the summer there is a food truck event that offers live music at the nearby public beach. We even saw live music at a nearby country store on Thursday night.
Robert and Audrey were amazing to rent from! They were super friendly and accommodating. They greeted us promptly and made sure we had everything we needed. They provided a book for us to look up nearby restaurants and activities, which was very helpful. We would definitely rent from them again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Beautiful, pristine clean
This was a very well kept and appointed home with all the amenities. It was a super hot week for our trip so this place was a great place to come home to after a very hot day on the lake.
Great house for the family. Clean and updated. Owners were very nice and helpful.
The house was in a great spot with lots to do in the area. Lake and beach access. We were able to rent a boat on the lake as well. We would definitely recommend this house, and plan on coming back ourselves.
Beautiful house, completely stocked
Owners Bob & Audrey met us as we pulled in and showed us around their absolutely beautiful camp. The pictures posted are totally accurate - the property is VERY, VERY nice.
Bob & Audrey have taken the time to make sure that you will be very comfortable during your stay. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need from a great selection of pots & pans, dishes and spices, to marshmallow sticks! The bedrooms are good sized, beds comfy, and the room darkening shades keep out the early morning sun.
The large deck provided additional play space for our toddler, as well as a nice table for eating dinner cooked on the awesome grill!
It's just a short walk to the good-sized, sandy beach with a gradual entry into the water which was perfect for our 2 year-old grandson. Bob & Audrey have provided (4) beach chairs for their guests' use. We brought our kayaks and just kept them down at the water during our stay. We met quite a few of the "neighbors" while at the beach and they were all very friendly.
We ended most evenings at the fire pit, relaxing in nice chairs (provided by Bob & Audrey), making good use of the marshmallow sticks!
This is a great option for a family looking for more than a cabin rental. It's really a home. Bob & Audrey have spent time making sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. They are super friendly and just a phone call away if needed. Our family really enjoyed our visit and would most certainly stay here again.
