About Kiki and Robert Hagemeister

We are year round residents of Little Stannard Beach and have been for over 20 years. Our children grew up in this wonderful little neighborhood and we are happy to share it with others.

Why Kiki and Robert Hagemeister chose Westbrook

With of a view of the Long Island sound as a benefit, there is also a large back yard to enjoy as well with a fire pit included. It is a great place for children to run around and play while you are grilling, without having to worry about their safety near the water. The beach is only 100 yards away though.

What makes this house unique

The uniqueness of Little Stannard Beach is that there is only one dead end street with access to the beach. Most beaches have many neighborhoods with acccess. It is not unusual to have only one or two families on this beach in the summer.

Christmas Family Reunion 2016

  • 5 of 5

KiKi and Robert were very pleasant and very accommodating. Loved their little doggie...

Location was ideal!

I was very satisfied with the condition of the house.

When we arrived the beds were already made up, with clean towels and chocolates, very nice touch.

The house was very clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

This home was a perfect spot to stay over after our family reunion. We all gathered at the house for cookies and cheer. There was plenty of room for us all, plenty of chairs. The driveway is huge and was able to accommodate all our cars. The home had a lot of charm, a cottage with a view. The minute we walked in, we fell in love. It was cozy with a beach atmosphere. Growing up we spent the summers in Old Saybrook, in a white cottage on the sound, this was a close tie to our home. A home that you are not afraid to put your feet up.

The home is surrounded by flower gardens, unfortunately, nothing is in bloom in December ;o). I can only imagine what it looks like in the Summer, must be absolutely beautiful! You can see the Sound from all the front windows, upstairs and down. That was really nice to wake up to. The beach is a good size for a private beach, clean and we found whole conch shells which is rare. The seagulls were so happy to see us, this just added such pleasure for us.

The house had a lot of space, large rooms and comfortable. the space was utilized to the max, very smart set up. A big dining room table, big kitchen, with nice size fridge. We were only there one night, but took it all in for when we come back for a summer visit.

The back yard is private, no building behind it, a table a chairs for enjoying the outdoors.

The location was quiet, although it was winter, but I can't imagine traffic, it is tucked away from the main road. easy access to the beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and plan on coming back, this time in the summer.

Thank you Kiki and Robert for extending your home to us, it would have been a long day had we had to go back to NJ right after the reunion. We were so grateful to have a place to stay. You have a beautiful home.

Quiet, Cozy & Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

As we started down hill towards Little Stannard Beach I knew immediately we were in for something spectacular! My husband grew up along the Clinton CT shoreline in a 2 story house and this cottage reminded him of home. From the moment you pulled into the driveway, the cottage had a welcoming feel to it...calling you right inside to enjoy and relax. The outside yard area had the same feel with the beautiful flowers in the front filled with bee and butterfly activity. The backyard was green and lush and alive with bird and squirrel activity. The walk to the beach was short and very convenient. The scene from the beach forces you to leave your cares behind and enjoy a little slice of heaven. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. The place was super clean, beds comfortable and well stocked kitchen. Kiki was a wonderful host...taking on the same qualities of the cottage...warm and welcoming. We also enjoyed meeting her dog Cosby! My only regret is that we didn't have enough time there. I left a little piece of my heart at this cottage...so I know for sure I'll return some day to this sweet cottage on Little Stannard Beach.

First annual gathering of the clan

  • 5 of 5

I wanted to get my CT adult kids and my RI adult kids and their children (my grandchildren) all in one spot for a few days of fun. It was PERFECT. The little ones got to play together, the weather was great, the beach was lots of fun and the house was so cozy, comfortable and CLEAN. We all felt like we were at home, only better.

Our hosts (right next door) were very attentive to details, including their email correspondence. We hope to return next summer.
