Great All Year Long: Enjoy this beautiful rental year round. Great walking and biking views along the coast.

The house is sunny and airy, with plenty of cozy furniture and a bright, classic decor. Loved the claw-foot tub!! Highlights included eating on the patio and making a fire in the evenings. Beautifully maintained inside and out with plenty of room for everyone. Nice location, close to the beach and lots of good day trips. We'll be back!!
Perfect location for Xmas prelude. Cape Porpoise is very quaint village close enough to Kennebunkport Proper. Rented house so other family members could experience Xmas prelude for the first time. House had everything we needed. Very comfortable, cozy and clean.
I have vacationed in the K'port/Cape Porpoise region for many years now. This year was truly one of the more memorable! The house is centrally located in Cape Porpoise; within easy walking distance to Bradbury's, The Wafarer, The Captain's, Cape Porpoise Kitchen and the Pier. It is also right across the street from Nunan's!
Our family is an active one, so many enjoyed early morning walks to the Pier, bike rides around the area and jogging to Gooches' beach and sometimes even back! There was plenty of room in the garage to store bikes, surfboards and other beach necessities.
The house is very clean, bright and very comfortable! The kitchen is spacious and has all of the modern conveniences including a very large fridge. (Perfect for a large family!) The outside shower is amazing - a great place to shower off the sand after a day at the beach!
We truly enjoyed our 2 week stay, and we would recommend this very easily to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing accommodation in this area!
Overall we did have a lovely time on our vacation. However we think that the title of "beach house" is somewhat deceiving. We rented the house bc we thought it was close to the beach--it really wasn't and then there was the added hassle of buying a beach permit. We ended up driving to Wells Beach and Old Orchard Beach, paying a small flat fee to park and having a great time there. The owner was good at communicating when we were there for some hot days and asked for some fans. The house itself is great, in great condition, and we had no problems with it. Kids liked their bunk room, my husband and I had the Queen room and we gave the master to our relatives who were traveling with us. All were happy with the sleeping arrangements, the kitchen was good and the bathrooms had good water pressure (though the outdoor shower was broken so we couldn't use that). Again, our stay in this home was great--loved walking to the Wayfarer, market and Cape Porpoise Kitchen. But this is on a busy road with a construction site next door and general road noise, and there was check out confusion so we probably wouldn't stay again.
With three boys under the age of four vacations tend to be more work than play, but our week in Maine was heavenly! The proximity of the beach was great and the beach itself made the trip - flat sand and an enclosed cove meant my husband and I could actually sit down in beach chairs while the boys ran around and even while they played in the water. Add to that a walkable market with everything you could possibly need, a gourmet sandwich shop AND a lobster co-op next door and you can't get much better. We drove to downtown Kennebunkport for ice cream most nights and walked around the shops - one of the other best parts is the people. Super friendly and laid back - you feel instantly comfortable and at home up there.
The house is laid out well with a large eat in kitchen and most importantly, a kids play room! All in all, were it not for the winter months I almost convinced my husband we should move up there. It was a great week in a great house and I would recomment it to anyone.
Although it has been several months since our stay here, and life has gotten in the way, our vacation here was better than we hoped! Our daughter graduated from the University of New England that Saturday, and she lived down by Goose Rocks Beach, which is very close!
Also, very easy to get into Kennebunkport from here... the house was clean, well-stocked for cooking and the beds very comfortable(all of them!} The owners were extremely easy to reach and deal with throughout the process, check-in was easy.
Don't forget "The Wayfarer" walking distance for breakfast; "Noonan's Lobster Hut" across the street for lunch, and of course," Pier 77" down the road on the water for dinner...drinks, or lunch!!! We loved our time here and will be back!!!!!!

Unique working fishing village within the town of Kennebunkport. Enjoy a walk to the pier and watch the lobster boats come in from a day of work. Or relax and enjoy the sun setting behind beautiful Goat Island Light House. Spend the day shopping and dining on the water of popular Kennebunkport. View the beautiful art work of local and international artists at galleries galore. Antiques or auctions anyone? In need of practice for that golf swing? Many golf facilities of various levels. Feeling sea worthy? Enjoy a whale watching or fishing excursion, or just tour the beautiful coastline. So much to do, so little time!
Other Activities: Whale watches and harbor tours, Theaters during summer season, museums

Please note that Homeaway is now charging a reservation fee. From their website: "To help support the initiatives above and bring you more travelers and bookings throughout 2016, in February we’ll begin introducing a small service fee paid by a traveler who books or pays through the HomeAway checkout. Traveler service fees are commonplace in the travel industry, and based on research, we do not anticipate that a service fee will be a meaningful deterrent to travelers wanting to book your property.
The service fee will vary based on the total amount of the booking, and will be between approximately 4 and 9% of the total cost—the more the rental amount, the lower the percentage. It will be paid by your traveler during the checkout process and will be charged only on the first payment. Of course, it will only apply to a successful reservation, and will be refunded if the booking is cancelled."
I think you can avoid this fee and the online booking fee ($55) by paying me directly with check or money order.
Cleaning Fee: This is handled at the property with property manager John Morin. Renters may get up to $50 of the $175 cleaning fee refunded if they leave the property in satisfactory condition. This would entail having the majority of linens and towels washed and dried, so that the cleaning service only needs to sanitize the house upon their departure. Renters may request more information from John Morin about the arrangement upon their arrival.
