This is the best vacation beach in the country! Loads of white sand. There are so many activities in St Pete, Clearwater, and Tampa that it is impossible to list them all. You must come and stay to truly discover all of the fun things to do and places to explore. It is a home away from home on the beach!

What makes this condo unique

Wake up and see the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico then cross the street to the beach. Huge heated pool! Easy to walk to resturants, bars, shopping, etc. No need for a car! Park it and relax.

Expectations

This place is nice if you have proper expectations (in my humble opinion). I just wish i'd known a few things prior. Here is my list of pro/cons after staying 4 nights.

Pros:

- Location is wonderful; beach is literally within view and you can walk to local bars/restaurants

- Property mgmt was very friendly

- Upham Grill, along way to beach and close to unit, has great food. Cheeseburgers were amazing (as was their Grouper sandwich)

- Area is quiet/peaceful

- Pool was clean/nice

- Unit supplies beach chairs and fans, which were much appreciated

Cons:

- Air conditioning > Temperature cannot go below '72 degrees' (or else it breaks according to property mgmt). So, yes ,this place has A/C....but I wouldn't say it's fully functioning. I need it cold to sleep and wouldn't have stayed here if i'd know about this (and no, I didnt sleep well for 4 nights).

- Mattress > Mattress has seen better days and sags in the middle....so between warm temp and poor mattress > sleep was rough for me.

- Wifi > This should not be advertised as a feature of the unit. Yes, you can connect to their wireless network, but it drops every minute or so. It's basically useless. I ended up having to use my phone as a mobile hotspot the entire time. Again, if i'd known in advance, I wouldn't have stayed here just on that alone (as I had to work remotely at night). As a friendly suggestion, I would provide a long Ethernet cable from back of router (so you can then say you do, in fact, provide internet access).

So that's my honest review. It really is a nice little place in a great location, but the lack of A/C and wifi killed the vacation for me (since I chose to stay here was based on those options). I think the unit should remove those features from it's listing > or at least until those issues are resolved.

Owner's Response: Hi, Joe, Thank you for your review of my property. I am glad that you enjoyed the location and some of the amenities. I apologize for the issues that you found unsatisfactory. I am surprised to hear that the management company advised you to not turn the AC below 72 degrees. I have never instructed them to do this, and will definitely be addressing this issue with them immediately. When I stay in the unit, I routinely set the thermostat in the mid-high 60s for my comfort with no negative consequences. I certainly apologize for your discomfort, and wish that you had called me directly because I would have instructed you to set it where you feel comfortable. I also would have been happy to bring you an ethernet cable if this would have facilitated better wifi for you. I was not aware that this was an issue. The last time I stayed in the unit I had two friends join me and we were all using our laptops at the same time with no disruption in service. I will accept your friendly advice and provide an ethernet cable for future guests. I do apologize that you found the mattress uncomfortable. I have ordered a new memory-foam mattress for the unit and will be replacing it as soon as it arrives. Again, thank you for your feedback and for bringing these issues to my attention. Fun vacation

The condo was clean and perfect for our Spring Break 2017 vacation. It was close to the beach. The unit was stocked with a good supply of cookware, coffee maker, blender, ice tea maker, plates, silverware, utensils. We had enough sheets, blankets and towels for our stay.

The downside to the unit is there is no assigned parking space specifically for this condo unit. There is, however, first come-first serve parking. I checked in on a Saturday and was told we could potentially not have a parking space upon return if we left in our car as weekends during spring break are very busy and there are not always available spots for guests of the complex to park. We ended up walking or using the trolley service for the first couple days which was somewhat of a pain. But we made it work. If I would have known in advance of the parking situation, I would not have paid to rent a car for the week. I would have utilized a taxi or shuttle to and from the airport and used the trolley for getting around. Also - and I'm sure this is most likely due to it being spring break- we were disturbed in to the early morning hours by loud people walking through the lot, most likely returning from a late night out. I slept on the sleeper sofa and was woken up several times throughout the night due to this. My sister slept in the bedroom and told me she could hear the residents sitting outside in the patio area below our unit speaking very clearly. It appears the building is not well insulated. Again, not a big huge deal- we weren't on a time schedule.

We had a nice time- and would not hesitate to rent this unit again. The trolley is not far and there are a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The pool was very inviting and the beach in this area is very nice. The management person, Theresa, was very friendly, accommodating, and offered so much advise. She was fantastic. The owner of the unit, Susan, was extremely easy to work with.

Great Beach Vacation

Property was in the best location, very clean and just what we needed to escape the cold upstate NY winter!

The only complaint I have is to recommend a bed replacement. The mattress has seen better days.

All in all great place for the money!
