Someone once said “A real friend is someone who takes a vacation on a sun-drenched beach and does not send a card”. You might not have any friends after a vacation at “Suncatcher” at 7 on 41st Ave, since you will want to let everyone know what a wonderful time you are having on the Isle of Palms at this wonderful home. You could make your own postcard with a picture of the private swimming pool at “Suncatcher”. It is beautiful and very unusual that a four bedroom home would feature a private pool. When it is time to hit the beach, a beach access path is ideally situated at the end of the block, so that in five minutes you can be enjoying the “Blue Wave Beach”, a national award given to the Isle of Palms for the cleanliness of the beach and ocean. You might want to even send your friends back home a sand dollar, which are often found on the Isle of Palms while walking the surf.
The first level of “Suncatcher” features a bedroom with a queen bed and private bath, as well as the living room, dining room, kitchen and family room. The living room is comfortable and includes two sofas, luxurious leather chairs, gas fireplace and flat screen television. You will find that the kitchen is perfect for that low country boil with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining area has room for the entire family with seating for ten. The family room is an extra benefit not often found in vacation rental homes. It provides a cozy and quiet space to catch up with the local newspaper or your favorite beach novel. The second level features three bedrooms all of which include a full private bath. The master bedroom is spacious, where you will find a king bed, double and a twin bed. If multiple families are sharing “Suncatcher”, the master bedroom alone could take care of a single family. The master bathroom is equally large with a whirlpool tub. The first guest bedroom has two queen beds, and the second guest bedroom has a single queen bed. With the sleeper sofa, “Suncatcher” can sleep 11 people comfortably.
When “Suncatcher” was built, the designer must have had your post card in mind. This wonderful home has decks everywhere. There are two decks on the front of the house, and two screened decks in back overlooking the private swimming pool. Anyone of the four decks is the perfect spot to sit in a rocking chair and share stories of the day, or write all of your friends about your vacation on the Isle of Palms.
One final note for your post card, if the pool, beach, ping pong table and comfortable furnishings are not enough, the City Marina is located at the end of the block, just a short walk from “Suncatcher”. Fine dining at Morgan’s Creek, groceries, charter fishing boats, boat ramp, kayak rental, island tours and wave runners can all be found at this full service marina. So spread the word with a post card or Facebook posting that your family is having the best vacation ever, and hopefully your friends at home forgive especially if you invite them to join you next year on the Isle of Palms.

We rented this home for a family vacation. It was beautiful, bright, and spacious. We had space to be together and room to spread out. The pretty sunroom off the kitchen turned out to be a favorite area with cushy chairs perfect for reading. The beds were also quite comfortable. The area is quiet, and the back yard is nice - we grilled several nights and enjoyed the pool on a warm day (the pool is not heated, so the water was a little cool in April). The home is a short (<2 min) walk to the beach, and it's a pretty 20 minute drive to Charleston that includes several lovely bridges. Take Palm Ave across Sullivan's Island rather than taking the Island Connector- there's a lot less traffic, and it is a shorter drive. Checking in and out was easy and quick- even though we arrived after hours. I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend!
We had a great time in this beautiful house. Nice furniture, very clean, kitchen had everything you need and a short walk to the beach! We really enjoyed the time with our friends and try to be back next year!
Our family has rented this house for 6 years and have enjoyed it every time! Perfect location with a short walk to the beach or just to relax by the private pool! I highly recommend this house!
Absolutely amazing! My husband, son, daughter, sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephew had a wonderful vacation in this lovely home. In total, there were nine adults and we had come from different parts of the country to the Isle of Palms for a family wedding. We were easily able to prepare for the wedding in comfort and luxury. In addition, we enjoyed the beautiful outside setting and the pool. Perfect home and location for a relaxing family vacation. We would definitely return to this home in the future. Much thanks to Beachside Vacations for all of their help throughout the process of putting our memorable vacation together.
As we live in Hamburg (Germany), my parents in Belgium and my parents in law in Charlotte we spent a week with the family in this fantastic house. As we all enjoyed it so much we are planning to repeat this next year. The floorplan is superb so that all still can have some privacy even when we had other family members visiting us for a couple of days. I would highly recommend it.
We really enjoyed this lovely home. The owners were very responsive to our needs and repairs of the house. The beds were so comfy. The kitchen table is large for all of us to eat together and play cards. The pool was clean but could not use (not heated).
The home is well laid out and very comfortable. Would definitely return to this home !! The beach is an easy walk away. Charleston is an easy 20 minute drive away. Lots to do and see. Just LOVED the area and loved this home!! Donna M., Orchard Park, NY
