The neighbor to the north is a nice flyfishing couple that live in Manhattan and come up once a month on the weekends, so there is a good chance that you may never see them.
The neighbor to the south is a permanent resident and 'the mail lady' - Great person to get in touch with if you have any questions about the area.
One of the best wild trout fishing spots on the river, right in the back yard.
I'll keep it short, the house is awesome! Your on the best strech of water on the west branch. The cabin is a great space, good views, and deck space. You can really use this cabin as an avid fisherman or a family looking to relax. I highly recommend and hope to return myself soon.

Fly Fishing Heaven
Stayed for a long weekend with my family and another couple and all our kids (ages 2 through 6). House was perfect for the kids, perfect for fly fishing, and perfect for relaxing and cooking and enjoying food. Clean, neat, comfortable, great yard to run and play, relaxing large deck out back. And great fly fishing right out of the back yard. We Fished dry flies to rising fish 3 days in a row in August. Landed some big ones.
We spent a lovely long weekend in early August at this picturesque cabin! It's the perfect size for our family of 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 children. The men and teens especially enjoyed catching the brown trout, which some of them had experienced earlier in the summer. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious deck, watching the birds, and we saw beavers in the river. My daughter and I saw a bear while taking a mid day walk! We had perfect weather, so we experienced an evening campfire and breakfast and dinner on the deck! Loved that deck!! This cabin has everything, plus more than we needed to make us very comfortable for our weekend stay. It's really a blessing to have clean towels and sheets provided! Jon, the owner was very helpful with all our questions. We would love to return next year! Thank you Jon!
We had a wonderful four-night stay earlier this month. The property, location & home was exactly as advertised. Neat, clean & very comfortable....with every amenity imaginable. We never used the computer (it seemed to have an OS/boot issue), but we didn't need it since the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Jon (the owner) was very responsive to any questions we had. Unfortunately, due to several days of rain immediately prior to our arrival, the river was in spate - in my estimate about 3-4 feet above normal. As one of the locals put it - "the river is blown". As a result, no one was catching any fish, and kayaking was a little more tricky, though still possible. We weren't able to use the sitting area by the river or the fire ring. The water pretty much covered that whole area. But, that's just nature & the luck of the draw. We had a wonderful time in the log home & the local area. The local supermarket (less than 5 minutes away) has pretty much anything you need. We never ate out, but noticed a variety of options in town if required.
Wonderful property and surroundings. I would highly recommend it to one and all. Thank you Jon!!!
This place is so comfortable and well maintained. The view of the river is something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Jon and Maureen are great hosts as well.
It's great for a small group of people or a big family.
Our family of 7; (2 adults; 2 teens and 3 children) stayed in this perfect cabin style house memorial weekend. House is stocked with everything you will needed for a totally relaxing weekend. We fished; barbecued; relaxed and literally did nothing for the weekend. Bliss! Would definitely recommend. We hope to return again ourselves.
The house is located in the Upper Delaware River Valley. Located in Deposit, NY
It is west of the Catskills, with Roscoe 30 minutes to the southeast. The Southern Tier of NY starts 30 miles to the west in Binghamton. The Finger Lakes Wine Country is 1 1/2 hours away.
