Awesome Catskill Log Cabin - see what sets us apart!

Bedrooms 3
Half Baths1
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8-9)

Enjoy a quiet escape to the mountains. 5.5 miles to Windham Mountain and 13 miles to Hunter Mountain. This lovely little three bedroom, one and-a-half bath log cabin located in the northern Catskills sleeps nine people.

We know you have lots of choices of places to what makes us special?

1. The price is the price, with everything included. We don't quote a price, then add fees for "extra" people, taxes, cleaning etc. We don't like to be nickel and dimed and we are sure you don't either.

2. We do not inflate prices for holiday weekends (we do require 3 night stay), Christmas week, Presidents week or Easter week. Again, our price is our price.

3. In most cases, we allow check in at 11am on your first day, and check out the evening of your last day (occasionally we can not offer this, but we let you know before you book). It seems silly to us that other people wont let you check in until after 4pm and then make you check out at 10am! We encourage our guests to play hooky from work and enjoy some R&R.

4. Well behaved dogs extra fees

5. In the winter, we allow you to use our personal locker in the 3500 club at the mountain free of charge. This is a HUGE convenience!!! (and I think the mountain charges $50 a day to rent these lockers daily). Parking pass is not included.

Bedrooms one and two (downstairs) each have a double bed. There is a futon in the living room. Bedroom three (upstairs) has four twin beds. This room is PERFECT for the kids! Two car detached garage, TV/DVD player/satellite. Fully equipped kitchen. Woodburning stove. Sliding door out to large deck with picnic table an umbrella. Nestled in the woods, set back off of a quiet road. Three acres to explore!

Only two and-a-half hours from NYC...but a world away! Come and enjoy all that the area has to offer, or sit back and just enjoy a quiet weekend in the woods. We are sure you will love this cabin as much as our family loves it! This cabin is ideal for one or two families with children.

PLEASE CHECK AVAILABILITY CALENDAR PRIOR TO INQUIRING - if the calendar states that the cabin is 'unavailable' it really is not available.

Please Note: You MUST be at least 25 years of age to rent this property.

Just MINUTES from fun activities year-round. WINTER: downhill/cross-country skiing and snow tubing (Windham and Hunter). SPRING and SUMMER: beautiful hiking trails and some of the regions best fly fishing. Excellent golf courses. FALL: unbelievable fall foliage as well as many festivals. Sixty miles from Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame) and 30 miles from Woodstock. Many choices for casual and fine dining.

About Richele Lieboff

Richele and Craig Lieboff. We have been married for 19 years, and have 3 boys. We love spending time at 'the cabin' with our family and friends all year round. Our boys have grown up skiing and riding at Windham. In the summer, afternoons are spent hiking, fishing, swimming in the river or lounging at the cabin.

Richele Lieboff purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Richele Lieboff chose Catskills

We chose Windham because the area offers great activities year round. It's just 3 hours from our home in Hopewell, NJ (and just 2.5 hours from NYC), so it makes for an easy weekend getaway.

What makes this cabin unique

We love the privacy of our little sanctuary in the woods. Ours Vizslas, Rez and Addie,' love the freedom of roaming our 3 acres....and the many open acres that surround us. When we aren't at the mountain, the boys like making fires in the ring outside, fishing in the local rivers and riding their dirtbikes through the field.

Beautiful Catskills Cabin

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful cabin in the Catskills. My friends and I went up for a weekend in the mountains and this location did not disappoint. The cabin itself is perfect for relaxing. It's clean, has all the supplies you need to make yourself at home and has a great yard/deck for hanging out and grilling. Near to the house is a cute town with coffee shops, a brewery and a bakery.

The owners were also incredibly buttoned up and easy to work with, making the trip very turn-key. I would definitely go back!

Perfect Ski Log Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Let me start off by saying this is our 2nd time at the cabin and we will be returning again. The Lieboff Family (owners) are so generous by providing their beautiful quintessential log cabin home for rent to other families or persons. This log cabin is not a landlord/rental property, it is their vacation home and is extremely nice. Everything you need is provided and there at the cabin. Nestled just far enough off the road with practically no one else around, you feel a sense of privacy other places can not offer. The Lieboff's give detailed instructions with no reason to have to contact them for questions although they are only a text or phone call away if you need them. The owners let you enjoy your time as if it was your very own vacation home (thanks Richele & Craig :D). My wife and two children (12 & 9) thoroughly enjoyed our ski vacation again for the second year in a row. The cabin is only a short drive to Windham Mnt. & town which has a lot to offer. First we start off at the Country Store for the best breakfast in the Catskills then head to the Mnt. to ski. For lunch or dinner there are other great restaurants in town as well. Some of our favorites are Chicken Run, Mill Rock, & Brandy Wine just to name a few. Windham town is a perfect all year place to visit with many other things to do besides skiing. I so look forward to next year. Thanks again Lieboff's, The Cameron Family

Great Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was a great find! I stayed with my boyfriend, brother & my three dogs for 3 days & 2 nights in March and it was beautiful! The owners were so accommodating and a pleasure to speak to, not to mention the rates were outstanding. The pictures don't do the cabin enough justice. The views are breathtaking and everything is included, even firewood! I will definitely be staying here again next year.

Fabulous New Years Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Myself and 5 friends stayed at this beautiful log cabin for a ski week to ring in the New Year. First of all, I must say that booking and communicating with the owner prior to and post our arrival was an absolute pleasure. Every question I had was promptly answered, and she couldn't have been more accommodating!!

Pulling up, we couldn't have been more thrilled to see the gorgeous cabin in the woods on tons of land in person. The house was welcoming, absolutely spotless and ready for us upon arrival. The kitchen/living room area was wonderful, and the eating area perfect for a group to make breakfasts and dinners and hang around together. By far our favorite amenity the cabin had to offer was the wood burning stove. We loved chopping wood to make a fire and sit around and get cozy by it with wine and cheese! The 2 downstairs bedrooms were perfect for couples, and the upstairs great for extra beds and a 2nd bathroom! The beds were VERY comfortable, and there were tons of extra blankets and towels. Though it was snowy and freezing, we even had a lovely time walking the grounds surrounding the cabin.

On top of all that, the location of the home is absolutely perfect. It's less than a 10 minute drive to Windham mountain and town. A huge plus was the owner allowed us to use their locker in the members club at the mountain so we didn't have to rent one! It fit 3 snowboards and 2 pairs of skiis and was a lifesaver so we didn't have to lug our gear back and forth to the mountain! We also ventured outside of the town to restaurants in the surrounding areas, and the scenery in any direction you go is just beautiful.

If you're envisioning a perfect upstate adventure surrounded by woods, lakes, mountains, etc. look no further than this home. You will love the home as well as the owner. I can't wait to go back!!!!

2015 MLK weekend

  • 5 of 5

We met another couple for a ski weekend with our dog and had a fantastic time at the cabin. A large warm great room with spacious first floor bedrooms very close to Windham ski resort. It was a crazy busy weekend at the mtn yet everyone was so friendly and the cabin is conveniently located. There was plenty of wood for warm cozy nights next to wood burning stove. Easily could sleep 6+ with futon and was quiet, comfy and clean so we snoozed like rocks. In town we cheered on our teams in AFC/NFC championships at a friendly bar filled with locals. For a ski weekend I would recommend this property to anyone and it's a great spot for travel (we are from MA and our family from No NJ). The owner was responsive and accommodating; easily one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had. We look forward to our next visit.

Family Catskill Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a week-long adventure in the Catskills staying at this cabin. We have typically taken vacations to resorts and hotels for the most part. The cabin was perfect for our time. Our two young girls loved staying upstairs and we slept great all week! We visited Howe Caverns, hiked, day trip to Cooperstown for the baseball Hall of Fame, Ommegang brewery tour and some great fly fishing. We made dinner most nights of our week at the cabin and had s'mores at the fire. I would recommend this cabin to anyone interested in a vacation in the Catskills. It's location is ideal and working with the owners was smooth. We definitely could have stayed with another family and would go back in a heartbeat.
