The main level includes the Living Room, Dining area, and a fully equipped Kitchen. Two Bedrooms and a full Bathroom are down a private hall. The Living Room has a 32 inch flat screen TV and a commanding view of the pond. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and self cleaning range. Central air conditioning keeps you comfortable on the hot days and on cool evenings, enjoy the gas fireplace.

Upstairs is a Master Bedroom suite with private full bath and TV. Downstairs is the Den with a pull down Murphy Bed and another TV.

Outdoors, sit on the full width deck or enjoy a cruise in either the pedal boat, canoe or kayak. Our boats are available for guest use between Memorial Day and Columbus Day. Take a plunge in the pond from your private dock. Grill on the gas grill and enjoy sitting around the campfire in the fire pit

Outdoor Adventures: There are a number of local, low exertion hikes that are highly rewarding, including: Mount Black; Cathedral Ledge State Park; Mount Willard; The Albany Covered Bridge, Diana's Baths, and the Madison Boulder.

If you are looking for more adventurous hikes, there are too many to list. Hike all the way up to the top of Mount Washington from Tuckerman Ravine or the Ammanoosuc Ravine, or start from Crawford Notch for some really steep hikes.

Visit the Saco River Ranger Station at the beginning of the Kancamagus Highway (on Route 112) for other ideas on local hikes.

Dining In or Eating Out: During the evening, you can use use the fully equipped kitchen to prepare a fine meal at home. Or, visit any of the local restaurants in the Mount Washington Valley. The Chamber of Commerce in North Conway will provide numerous pamphlets on fine dining in the valley. Two of our favorites is the Moat Mountain Brew Pub, for great barbecue or May Kelly's for great Irish fare.

Just outside of Eidelweiss Village is Community Market & Deli, great for pizzas and quick bites.

We have a gas grill for your grilling pleasure between Memorial Day and Columbus Day. Our grill policy is that each guest cleans the grill at the start of their stay before using it. This ensures that the grill is up to your standards for your stay. Toss one on the barbie and enjoy dining outside in the screen room.

Winter Wonderland: There are a number of wonderful skiing and snowshoeing opportunities in the area. King Pine is less than 5 miles away for wonderful family downhill skiing. Or drive into North Conway for more challenging skiing at Mount Cranmore. Need more excitement, Attitash/Bear Peak is only a half hour drive away, or drive 45 minutes for the thrills of Bretton Woods.

The Pea Porridge ponds are a wonderful place to spend quiet moments on snowshoes or cross country skis. Take a moment and see if you can spot the fox or the mink on their daily rounds.

Make sure you provide us correct details on party size. We normally set up the house to maximize floor space. Please don't put trash outside. We've had too many incidents with animals. Do not move our fire pit, it's location was approved by the fire warden. We provide a starter supply of trash bags (enough for weekend guests), but you'll want to bring some so you can double bag trash if you are staying for the week.

Fabulous Place!!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time at Serene Waterfront Getaway! Nice and private and a beautiful location. The house has everything you could need. Holly even made sure we had a large pot to cook chick lobsters in! Very accomodating. Top quality water and hiking gear for your use. The new canoe and trolling motor are awesome!

The place even came with a cute little duckie that followed us around the pond!

Great Home!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at 5 different places in Edelweiss although very nice none of them come remotely close to this place. The amount of detail placed around the home by the owners is impressive to say the least. A lot of rentals send instructions but you make it very easy for anyone to rent place and that goes along way. Great place and great location.

Wonderful vacation, we want to be back next year

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a week at this wonderful cottage and it provided with everything that was promised and more. It is very private, very quiet, with a wonderful view to the lake no matter where you are on this property.

We did not expect to have such a large private beach with ocean quality sand and such wide water front access. Our young kids spent their days in water. We were visited by loons and their little baby, eastern painted turtle, and a snapping turtle came to rest on the rock on a few occasions. The frogs are always singing in the background. It's really quite something.

Indoors were spanking clean, kitchen, bathroom and living area are all recently renovated. The tiled living area made it easy to clean up the sand that got into the house. The house is spacious, with a huge finished basement. We found all accessories we needed during the stay, including 3 choises of boats for taking a tour on the lake.

Most importantly, the location is so central: it's 5 minutes away from Conway (ice cream shop, bakery and etc), 15 minutes away from North Conway (shopping, more shopping, ubber-blast and arcades for kids on a rainy day, easy 20 mins hike to the water falls at Diana Baths - please let me know if you find our green doodoo :-) ) and only 25 minutes away from Story Land. We even drove out to Old Orchard which was only 1.5 hour away. So location is certainly amazing!

I could keep going, but I think it's obvious that there is absolutelyu nothing negative to say about this cottage. Owners take great pride in maintaining the cottage indoors and outdoors, they were quick to respond to all of our questions during our stay: next day delivery service for the firepit is just one example of their generosity. We are looking forward to coming back again next year!

Serene bliss!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a glorious 2-week stay and I miss the pond and the loons already. Watching the sun rise over the pond was majestic... The house is in a great location, especially if you want to hike in the White Mountains. There are beautiful trails everywhere. We loved being so close to N. Conway, but away from the tourist traffic. The view from the house is so peaceful and bright that we didn't even mind having 3 days of rain. Lots of comfy sofas to relax on and read a good book. We have already reserved for next year.

Serene Getaway Properties has been providing vacation home rentals in Eidelweiss Village for over 12 years. Our homes are located in Madison, New Hampshire in the Mount Washington Valley. The White Mountain National Forest is a short drive from the home. We are actively involved owners who strive to make your vacation affordable and stress free. It is vacation, after all.

Terry (Owner) purchased this house in 2004

Why Terry (Owner) chose Eidelweiss Village

A peaceful morning... you are sitting on the deck watching the sun rise over the crystal clear water of Middle Pea Porridge Pond. You have a cup of coffee in your hand. The loons swim by. No need to say more.

What makes this house unique

Located on a quiet loop road, road traffic is almost non-existent. As you sit in the Adirondack chair reading a book, you can watch your children playing in the water. This home has one of the largest private beaches on the ponds.
