Third time staying
Excellent place. Easy to deal with. Close to everything. Only drawback is the driveway is a nightmare. Four wheel drive needed in winter for driveway because it is so steep to get out of. There is plenty of street parking - but if a storm comes you may need to find another place for cars because the plows need room. We had to move two of ours to a the driveway of a neighbors house where no one was home. It wasn't a big deal but it was a hassle.
Perfect Mountain Home!
This home was perfect for our family ski trip - in fact we could have probably fit an entire 2nd family with us! Everything was very clean, plenty of blankets provided, and the hot tub and fireplace were great to warm up with. Everything you could possibly need was available and Christine was very responsive to texts and helpful. Would love to visit again!
Larger than it looks in pictures. Very comfortable.
Great rental home. Owner was available for easy communication always. Linen/ hot tub service was there despite bad winter weather. Make sure you have 4wd in snowy weather. Kitchen and dining area much larger than photos showed, allowing comfortable dining for 7, with room for more. Beautiful views. 5 minutes to ski parking and groceries close. Would definately recommend to a friend.
Clean house with lots of beds!
if you are looking for a nice, clean house with a lot of beds - this is your house. It's about 10 minutes from Mount Snow and about 5 minutes from several restaurants and stores. Relatively easy drive but 4-wheel drive is recommended in winter because the driveway is a bit steep (but well plowed and sanded). Plenty of parking. The house has one of the best ski mudrooms we have ever seen - loads of storage for skis, jackets, boots, etc. The radiant floor heating is really nice in most of the house. Loads of firewood for the fireplace. Some minor updates would be nice - particularly the glassware and maybe a bit more seating in the living room (especially considering how many people this house sleeps). The huge table was great. The wifi was a little spotty but that seemed unusual when we mentioned it to the owner so that's probably resolved by now. We didn't care because it helped to keep the teenagers off their phones!! It was great to have sheets and towels provided since we drove from Virginia. The kids loved the hot tub and just playing in the snow in the yard. Would recommend to others.
Peaceful and relaxing
We stayed here to celebrate a 60th birthday of a family member, hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. The weekend was perfect and the house could not have been better. The hot tub had an awesome view of the small river that ran behind the house. The sound of the running water was incredibly relaxing. The house was very spacious for 8 adults and there was plenty more bed space for additional guests if desired. The fireplace warmed the main level nicely; beware of the reclining chairs near the fire. You may get sucked in by their comfort and never want to get up. Christine was easily reachable throughout the stay. We absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend to anyone else!
Great weekend trip with the family
We had a fantastic time with this rental, our first time staying here. The house may look small from the road, but the interior is fantastic and offers plenty of room for many guests. While there were 4 bedrooms, plus a loft space, as well as an extra day bed in the downstairs gaming room, we were only 5 (and two dogs) so only needed a couple of the bedrooms. The kids loved being able to pick where to sleep, as one of our kids wanted to sleep in the loft to star gaze, the others wanted darkness in the morning so slept in the room with the least sun exposure.
The house is clean, kitchen modern with granite counters and nice appliances, and the great room spans the width of the house and felt very spacious.
The deck was very nice, and you could hear the sound of the brook down below all day and night, which was very relaxing. Our kids favorite part of the trip was when we sat in the hot tub at night and gazed at the stars, being able to make out the Milky Way.
We made a few trips to Dover, Stratton, Pike's Falls - which the kids and dogs loved, Woodford State Park for a hike around the lake, Mount Snow, and Wilmington. Plenty of eating options and things to do nearby. Christine was extremely accommodating and friendly, wouldn't hesitate to come back.
