cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

Description of the cabin was accurate, but the photos don't do it justice. It is much cozier than it looks. Very clean and warm. We had the greatest meals on the deck in the trees. Nice wrap around deck and partly covered. We hiked the trails with the happy, happy dog. Owner was great and always helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking some peace and quiet, but plenty to do in the area. Must recommend the Screamin' zip line tour. The guys running it are just great and views are neat. Last line is 2,000 feet long with speeds at around 60 miles per hour. Had dinner at the Canyons. Nothing fancy, but good food, NC Speckled Trout and great views of Linville Gorge.

Cute little cabin

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here. Location is great, private but not terribly far from town. The front of the cabin is a little chilly since it’s only heated by a gas fireplace, but the bedroom was quite warm. Clean and cozy little cabin, no complaints!

Very cozy and clean.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very nice. The location was certainly off the beaten path. Overall experience was extremely enjoyable. The only negative would be there are no curtains or blinds on any of the windows or doors. Would definitely recommend a 4 by 4 if visiting in the winter months.

Very clean awesome place

  • 5 of 5

This is a great property. Enjoyed our stay. Wish check in was earlier. Took an evening to learn controls on heat, switch it from auto to manual. That way you will not wake up cold when it goes back into it set up program. For those that couldn’t find regular channels... didn’t find until next afternoon, sky best live will get regular programming. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

perfect cabin for a relaxing getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is the perfect place for peace and quiet. The cabin is just steps from a creek and hiking trails. It's clean and it has a jacuzzi tub. The phone line was down and the wi-fi wasn't accessible initially, but Patti & Mark were helpful and got the phone company out to repair it that same day. The driveway is steep, and I would definitely recommend 4-wheel drive in winter weather. We were there mid-November and got a little snow. It was lovely to watching it falling from the warmth of the cabin.
