(Name omitted) and I had a great time there, the cabin was awesome. We liked everything about it. (Name) especially liked that we grilled out every night and then had 'smores after catching fireflys. We went whitewater rafting, jet boat ride, mountain biking at Tsali, where we ate black berries in the rain and got all muddy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to another trip there. While we were there we did some light gardening around the front entry and restacked the stone around the plants that had come unstacked. It kind of made it seem like it was our cabin. When we arrived (child) immediately claimed the bunk bed room and loaded his clothes in the dresser and closet. We had a blast.
My friends and I stayed here for two nights in July and couldn't have been happier! The location to Nantahala and Lake Fontana couldn't be more perfect. Bryson City isn't far of a drive either for a night out. The cabin is adorable. AC units in the bedrooms, comfy back porch, and the cabin was stocked with all the basic necessities. Thank you again Adrienne and Joel!
My family stayed at Laurel Creek Cabin last week, and took advantage of the endless outdoor activities. We swam every day in Lake Fontana, which was incredibly refreshing! Rented a pontoon boat to explore the lake one day, went rafting down the Nantahala, SUP, and mountain-biking at Tsali. The kids even caught us dinner one night (at a nearby trout pond)... Talk about excited! we grilled it on the big screened in porch, and enjoyed it around the outdoor table. Definitely will be back, thank you for sharing your place!
My wife and I stayed with our two boys (13 yr and 20 months), and I don't think we could have had more fun. Our teen thoroughly enjoyed the retro video tape selection, and family movie nights, while our toddler dug up every one of the toys in the bountiful supply of the cabin. He spent hours playing with them on the screened in porch. Whitewater kayaking, fishing, and flat water kayaking are all available within a few minutes of leaving the cabin, and we took advantage of it all. Everything looks classic and perfectly appropriate for the setting. If you don't mind a few spiders and simple surroundings, this is the place for you. We cannot wait to return.
My wife, my two teenagers, and I stayed in the cabin for three days. It was exactly as described and was very comfortable. The cabin is old and has a musty odor, which added to the rustic feel, but it was very secluded and had everything we needed. We made daily trips to Bryson City and the surrounding area. The Smoky Mt train was fun and Paddle Inn rafting was great(and was the best deal). We made some memories in this little cabin and would love to come back some day. I would recommend Laurel Creek Cabin to anyone!
We stayed here a long weekend in May. Great cabin for a small group to use as a home base for all types of outdoor adventure. Western NC, Eastern TN, mountains, rivers, the AT, waterfalls - the list goes on.
The cabin is very cozy and you feel at home instantly. The owners were very easy to work with and we liked it so much we extended our stay and came back for a 2nd visit because it felt like home. Plenty of games for the children .Our dogs loved it too. Would definitely recommend, as it is close to Fontana Lake, NOC, Tsali, hiking and so many outdoor activities. We plan on going back again !
