Experience the best view on Vashon Island, just steps from the North End ferry terminal. This updated, charming cabin is right at the water's edge. It is the perfect place for a romantic weekend, family vacation, or an extended stay to try out Vashon life.
Located right next door to the Pablo Neruda Mural and The Wild Mermaid Cafe, the cabin is quiet and secluded, but very easy to get to. Drive, bike or even walk from the mainland to your peaceful island retreat. The cabin was built in 1923, and renovated in 2018 preserving many original elements and fixtures.
A full kitchen (minus freezer) allows you to create your own meals, or just make coffee in the morning. There is one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom, and the living room has a charming corner fireplace. Because of recent wildfires and smoke in the region, we have installed an electric fireplace insert which keeps the cabin cozy in the Fall and Winter.
Enjoy your coffee on the deck with the blue heron or seals as you watch the sunrise. Although it is most comfortable for 2 people, the cabin can accommodate up to 4 with a sleeper couch in the living room. The cabin is stocked with books, cards and games, and WiFi but there is no TV. Bring a phone or laptop if you wish to stream your entertainment.
Our goal is to provide a calm and peaceful environment for our guests to enjoy the Puget Sound. Products used in the cabin are non-toxic and environmentally sound, including Mrs. Meyers cleaning products and Aveda soaps.
Accessibility and stunning panoramic views make it the perfect island get-away. After spending a weekend on the water, you won't want to go home!
