It is located in the quiet Bay View neighborhood, 1.5 blocks from Humboldt State University and 6 blocks from the downtown Plaza. Because of its proximity to HSU, FOREST VIEW STAY is ideal for parents traveling with or visiting students, guests conducting business on campus, not to mention visitors to the redwood coast.
This second story studio suite is situated off of a lovely garden; it has rear property access adjacent to the off street parking area where its staircase leads up to a private deck overlooking a pond and waterfall below and Arcata's community forest to the east. A sliding entry door opens into a spacious, bright, and cheerful vacation rental.
The interior is appointed in a warm palette of earth tones, enhanced by oriental carpets and fine art prints. An antique desk provides the ideal workspace for guests using their electronic devices with our wireless connection. Multi-level windows, vaulted ceiling, French doors, and an open floor plan impart a lofty and spacious ambiance.
FOREST VIEW STAY has a dining area with gas fireplace, living room with a sofa which converts into a double bed, day bed which offers another sleeping option, bath with tub/shower combination, recessed sleeping alcove with an antique queen bed and large closet, and north facing veranda. Prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoy them at the dining table in front of the cozy fireplace. Sip morning coffee or relax with a glass of wine while sitting on the deck listening to the birds in the garden and water cascading into the pond.

About Property Manager
I have had a love affair with Arcata since I moved here over 40 years ago to attend Humboldt State University. I graduated and could not leave this special place; our progressive kinda quirky little university town is like none other. I own and operate Arcata Stay Lodging network, created in 2004, and manage Forest View Stay for my owner partner, an Arcata resident.
Property Manager purchased this Studio in 2004
Why Property Manager chose Pacific
The abundance of natural beauty just minutes away in any direction is phenomenal: the tallest most majestic redwood trees in the world, miles of unspoiled rugged coastline, sand dunes, lagoons, six beautiful rivers, ever changing Humboldt Bay, and Wildlife Refuges, to name a few. The redwood coast offers diverse recreational opportunities which attract visitors from around the world. I have hosted a good number of those visitors and guided them to the unique features of our area. I have developed friendships with guests who return again and again to visit their HSU students or family living in the area, attend our many festivals and events, conduct business, or come back to a getaway that they love. It is the perfect base from which to make day trips to the natural wonders of our region, and return at the end of the day to a lovely space with all the comforts of home.
What makes this Studio unique
Arts, culture, music, theater, shopping, food and drink, being 'green' before it was groovy, a lively downtown Plaza, architecture, history, Humboldt State University, and a friendly embracing community make Arcata a destination not to be missed.

What an awesome great place for a small family or friends with pets. It was beautiful
Just a fantastic and clean property, truly love our stay. The design and craftsmanship was amazing, someone took time to make this a well built studio, but it's more like a a small apartment. Centrally located on he edging Arcata, walkable to down town, dog and kid friendly.

Location
Arcata is located just 7 miles north of Eureka and less than 40 minutes drive to both southern and northern State and National Redwood Parks, home to the tallest trees in the world. Enjoy majestic redwood groves, miles of pristine coastline, Humboldt Bay, a famous wildlife refuge, and a lively town square in arty, progressive Arcata, which is also home to Humboldt State University. Between scenic Humboldt Bay and forested hills, our town is a popular destination for visitors to the redwoods and is the ideal 'home base' from which to take recreational day trips or attend events on the Arcata Plaza, including the Kinetic Sculpture Race, Oyster Festival, Pastels On The Plaza, North Country Fair, Arts Alive, and Saturday Farmers Market. Within a 15-30 minute drive from Arcata, visit Old Town Eureka's Victorian Heritage District, the Victorian Village of Ferndale, or the quaint fishing village of Trinidad, Trinidad Head, beaches, and Patrick's Point State Park.
