About Paula Harvan

I have been offering luxury holiday accommodations since 1999, with properties in Paris, the South of France, London and Napa Valley, California. Residential design and decor is my passion, and I strive to provide dwelling places that are more expressive, more beautiful, more comfortable than most vacation rentals. I live part-time in all these places. So each functions as a personal 'home' -- not just an impersonal rental property. So there are many things, both big and small -- from superb heating and air conditioning to an extensive French art glass collection to oyster knives, a sushi set and escargot forks -- that are not usually found in properties that are used exclusively as rentals. The hallmark of each residence is its personal style, which reflects its unique character and location. For example, my Paris penthouse, the top floor of a handsome Art Deco building with sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower and Parisian rooftops, is thoughtful designed with the idea of bringing the look and feel of skyscape and its light inside with a calm silver-grey palette sparked by carefully placed bursts of glass, chrome, mirrors and colour. My philosophy is that I would never rent a property that I would not stay in myself. So, putting myself into my guests’ shoes, I 'think of everything' -- as my many 'five-star' guest reviews confirm -- to make your stay a most positive and memorable experience.

Paula Harvan purchased this apartment in 2006

Why Paula Harvan chose 7th Arrondissement Eiffel Tower

If you read the many excellent 'five-star' guest reviews, they thoroughly answer the question, 'Why this property?' Personally, I lived in Paris for several years before purchasing the penthouse so I was quite familiar with the City and the profile of different arrondissements and neighborhoods. I chose this property and location because 1) I LOVE the Eiffel Tower, and the penthouse has fantastic views of it from 5 windows and the apartment itself if very light, open and airy, 2) the neighborhood is lively (with many cafes/restaurants and stores), safe AND truly Parisian. That is, it's not overrun by tourists so you really live like a local while you're here, 3) it offers convenient day-to-day living -- stores/services, such as post office, big and small supermarkets, an outdoor market are within a 2-5 minute walk 4) the penthouse is only one block from a convenient metro line that provides easy access to all major sights in the city and a five minute walk to the Champs des Mars, the huge park that surrounds the Eiffel Tower, which provides a great place to walk/run/and people watch.

What makes this apartment unique

I never tire of the stunning views of the Eiffel Tower from each of the penthouse windows. The view is especially inspiring from the window of fully-equipped office/study. So as I work, I can glaze from my desk (which is smack in front of the window) and see this marvelous structure. I also love the privacy of the penthouse, the conveniences (bakeries, food/convenience stores, wine bar) at are literally a 30 second walk from outside the building gates) truly Parisian neighborhood, and walking/exercising on the Champs des Mars, the park where the Eiffel Tower is located.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"LPR is an absolute gem and we will absolutely return (for a longer time!) Paula, you have thought of everything and it was all appreciated. We arrived back at LPR each evening of our stay, completely amazed that the Eiffel Tower awaited us yet again; it is a sight never to tire of."

A little piece of heaven...

  • 5 of 5

Before arriving in Paris Victoria and Paula were both very attentive answering any questions we had. Making our reservations was quick and painless. Upon arriving Victoria picked us up and drove us through the beautiful city of Paris. You can feel her love of her city she's so proud of. My husband and I spent a week in this beautiful Penthouse for our honeymoon. We were greeting with a bottle of champagne waiting for us. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and stocked with goodies. The bakery down the street is delicious. If you're looking for the best onion soup close to home, Cafe Le Pierrot. We loved staying outside of the touristy areas but the Eiffel Tower is only a 5-10 minute walk away. Best advice I can give is to just get lost in this stunning city. Go outside your apartment building and pick a new direction each day. You will always stumble upon something beautiful. Lovely neighborhood and gorgeous apartment! Thank you Paula! We're already planning our return to our favorite city and hope to stay at your beautiful penthouse. We miss it!

Loved our stay in Paula's Paris penthouse!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 5 nights in the apartment. The location was wonderful, everything at our fingertips. Staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist location was very enjoyable.

Victoria did a great introduction to the apartment and the locale. Paula's notebook with local information and suggestions was very helpful.

Our first evening we went to the Boulanger on the corner that Paula recommended and the bread was so wonderful that I had to post it in Facebook!

The use of space in the apartment is incredible. We had a place to store everything and even put the suitcases out of sight. We were very impressed with the design and attention to detail.

Thank you Paula for making this visit to Paris so comfortable and memorable.

Hopefully when we travel again to Paris, this wonderful apartment will be available.

Perfect home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this lovely apartment. The building is very secure requiring an entry code for the gate and the front door. And there is a lift which is very helpful with luggage. Great view of the Eiffel Tower which we especially enjoyed at night. Lovely bathroom with tub and shower. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and there is plenty of closet and drawer space. Great selection of coffee, tea, cookies and chocolates. We used the sub stop down the street often and there are two great bakeries close by that we would alternate between for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Paula and Victoria.

Awesome Apartment with all of the bells and whistles

  • 5 of 5

My family of three stayed at Paula's apartment. We used her driver Victoria to pick us up at the airport. Victoria gave us many great tips as to where to go in Paris during our visit. The apartment is very formal and has everything you could every need. The neighborhood is very close to the Eiffel tower, Napoleon's tomb etc. The pictures display perfectly what the apartment has to offer. She even has a laptop and printer to use. Which was a big plus for printing our return boarding passes. Every morning we would enjoy a Nepresso coffee at the apartment and there was a fully stocked bar for our evening nightcap. We used Uber to get around Paris which worked out great. There are several nice restaurants near the apartment we enjoyed. Also there are several bakeries for sandwiches and pastries close by. This was my first trip to Paris and it was a great one. We will look forward to going back to Paris and will not hesitate staying at Paula's place again.

Owner's Response: We are one of the few Paris apartments that offer guests a complimentary open bar stocked with a bottle of champagne and crystal decanters of vodka, gin, scotch, rum, and cassis along with a selection mixers -- all freely available for your enjoyment. This generous guest convenience saves you at least $10.00 a drink (the average price of a mixed drink/cocktail or glass of champagne in Paris). Plus you can imbibe in the comfort of your 'own' penthouse with stunning views of the Eiffel Tower. One more reason to choose the Paris Penthouse for your French holiday! See our listing for a summary of the other complimentary conveniences!

superb stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed only 3 days in this wonderful apartment. We have been often in Paris, but this was the best stay we have ever had. The apartment has such a lovely furniture and everything is well decorated. The view to the Eiffel Tower is amazing. We falled in love with the place in the sky. Viktoria was such a nice host. She was very helpful to show us arround. The contact with Paula is very good and she was open for all our questions.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with the chamagne and enjoyed our stay. We have been to one of Paula:s favourite restaurants and were very happy with the food.

We come back next year.

Wonderful spacious penthouse on the border of the 7th Arrondissement - Superbly furnished

  • 5 of 5

Let me begin by saying this is a lovely building with an elevator that takes you up to the 7th floor, and then an easy flight up to the 8th floor which is where this Penthouse is located. It is an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower and the Champs de Mar from here, and you really can admire the Tower from many of its windows, especially beautiful when it is lit at night. It is convenient to 2 metro stations (Motte Picquet has 3 different lines which makes it extra convenient) and a taxi stand. I have rented in this area before and this apartment was FAR superior in terms of its size, luxuries and taste. It has a full size kitchen, beautifully equipped, and a large bathroom with a full size washer and separate dryer (almost unheard of in Paris!) It has wonderful storage and Paula has thought of many wonderful touches for her guests. The separate office space is also very welcome and the wifi was perfect and FAST :) We had Victoria pick us up at the airport and it was well worth it, because she was a kind and knowledgable tour guide of the neighborhood as we arrived and got us very comfortably settled into the apartment, complete with welcoming champagne! My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary and will certainly want to come back to this apartment!
