About Eli Corbin, owner

Originally from North Florida, I have lived in Asheville full time for many years. I purchased this loft in 2006 thinking I would share it with others as a vacation rental and eventually move in myself.

The loft is filled with my artwork, which I have on display, as well as for sale.

Eli Corbin, owner purchased this condo in 2007

Why Eli Corbin, owner chose Asheville

Asheville is such a vibrant and diverse city. It is small enough to walk to everything, yet large enough to have many choices regarding restaurants, clubs, galleries and shopping. I researched the market for a while before buying, but really liked the look, location and the fact that the parking deck is right across the street from the building. This loft is in the most central part of downtown.

What makes this condo unique

I love staying at the loft because it is so centrally located. When you walk out the door you are within walking distance to everything downtown. I've parked in the Rankin deck on Friday and not returned until Sunday. It is a great place to have friends over for drinks and then go out dancing, or to a movie at The Fine Arts, or catch a play at ACT, etc. It is also a great place to escape for some down time.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed staying at the loft. Number 1, talk about atmosphere! Great vibe and super comfortable. We had no issues and nothing comes to mind regarding any repairs. We will certainly keep the lofts in mind next time we visit Asheville.

Exceeded All Expectations

  • 5 of 5

The condo exceeding all of our expectations. It was spotless, beautiful, roomy and had all (or more) of the amenities of home. When we were driving home, we all agreed that our favorite thing about our trip to Asheville was where we stayed. When we left, we wished that we had stayed much longer!

The location was superb and most convenient. At the same time, we couldn't believe how quiet it was. The beds were luxuriously comfortable. It's a great value for the money. We would recommend with no hesitation! It was almost better than being at home.

We ate breakfast every morning at the Green Sage restaurant, a mere 1.5 blocks away which was scrumptious. If we had stayed longer, we would have cooked at the condo though as the kitchen was better equipped than most homes and it was beautiful. Don't miss out on the French Broad Chocolate Cafe which is less than a block away.

To sum up, we won't stay anywhere else when we return to Asheville!

Besides the amazingly beautiful layout and decor of the loft, the location cannot be beat. We walked everywhere and had everything at our fingertips.

the Loft was a perfect solution for our extended weekend in Asheville.

Two very comfortable bedrooms, nicely furnished. The second couple didn't get a lessor stay room. Nicely appointed baths, each with a tub. Great gathering room by the kitchen and a large comfortable formal space - great for a little late night thelevision. Safe, quiet and elegant!

The location is right in the heart of downtown Asheville. With exception to the short drive to the Grove Park Inn and the Biltmore estate, we walked to everything. Great shops, restaurants and pubs. Parking was never a problem.

Anxious to book our next Asheville stay at the Loft.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

This condo is perfect for staying in the heart of Asheville. It's walking distance to anywhere downtown. We were there with another couple and both had our own privacy, which we like. It is clean and has everything you need for your stay. Will definitely stay there again when we return.

High End Apartment in Premium Location

  • 5 of 5

High end apartment with very nice furnishing including fully equipped kitchen. Great art decorates the entire apartment. Pictures are 100% accurate. 1/2 block from park where they have Friday night drum circle and block and half off Broadway / Biltmore (main drag).

We've been to Asheville a few times. We've stayed in nice B&B's in the historic homes section and we stayed at this apartment. The advantage of the apartment is you don't have to fight with finding a parking place and the apartment is always just a few blocks away if you need a quick rest. I enjoy cooking breakfast so we don't miss the prepared breakfast by the B&B's. You can also do without a car at the apartment and Uber it every where. If you want to do a day trip to the mountains, there is a Hertz in downtown Asheville. The apartment gives you a private place where your party can gather ... large dinning and living areas .... which you don't get at a B&B.

The apartment is located over a restaurant that has background music on the weekends. You can hear the music in the apartment but it isn't super loud. We watched part of the Gator game on TV and the music did not interfere. You can talk and not have to shout. But you can hear it. The owner told us all about the music before they had us sign the contract to make sure we were aware - good sign that the owner cares and wants return guest.
