A Christmas Memory

  • 5 of 5

Hardly a day goes by that we do not talk about the wonderful month we spent in Vermont at this home. Our children had never seen snow, and boy did they see lots of it. The place could not have been nicer. So much open space and lots and lots of windows. We would spend the morning drinking coffee and watching the birds snack at the birdhouse, while our two young children were safely playing on the large wrap around deck. There were endless opportunities for exploration around the large lot. I can only imagine how much fun we would have in the summer with the creek. Although we did have fun throwing snow and ice into the creek and watch it melt away. The house is away from any noise, you are basically the last house on the street. We saw wild turkey on morning walks. We were also centrally located to many activities and quaint little towns. The owner was so helpful with suggestions of activities, places to eat (the brewery was fabulous) and just checking in to see if there was anything we ever needed. The house was very clean and the kitchen was awesome! We made dinner every night and sat around the large dining room table. The wood burning stove was fun for making smores. We can not wait to go again and see what summer time holds for us. I hope we can get this house again because during our month stay this place became our home.

Perfect Family Vacation House

  • 5 of 5

This is a very spacious house, which has a number of bedrooms that are arranged such that a multi-generational family can spread out comfortably but still feel together. The kitchen is well stocked and open to the living room making for ease of conversation while preparing meals. The wraparound porch offers fantastic views over the valley and beyond to the mountains. It is quiet and peaceful and the sound of the water rushing over the stones in the stream bed was very relaxing. Everyone enjoyed star gazing at night with the Big Dipper front and center for our viewing pleasure.

Secluded getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week in late July - it is situated on a very secluded driveway yet is not too far from other amenities. It easily fit our 2 families totaling 7. It backs up to a nice nature preserve - which offers some nice hikes up the mountain and surprise wild raspberry thickets. We even saw a black bear lumbering out of the woods in the back of the house.

The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment you would need - it's an extremely comfortable place to stay for a relaxing time in Vermont.

Great property, we had a blast.

  • 5 of 5

This house is large and very tasteful and nicely decorated. The furniture is very comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and it's just a very nice house to stay in. The owner was very helpful and accommodating and we had a blast. It is a nice balance between remote (neighbors are far enough that you feel private) and not too far from town. We drove to Kellington, Woodstock, and Bridgewater without problem and they're all within 15-20 minutes so this is a nice location. I would recommend this property and I would stay again!

3rd time visit as good as the rest

  • 5 of 5

What a great property! Sitting on the deck overlooking the valley is so relaxing. The evenings are quiet except for the stars popping out overhead. The house is well equipped for cooking with the kitchen overlooking the great room. The bedrooms have nice beds. Whole house was clean and well maintained. The 3-mile ride up the dirt / gravel road is all so worthwhile. Hope to be back in 2-years!

Very nice house with great views

  • 5 of 5

This house has ample space for two families or a semi large group.

Kitchen has everything you need.

Bathrooms also have lots of towels and even shampoo.

The drive up the road is long about 3 miles.

However, we enjoyed the privacy.

Eat breakfast and/ or lunch at the Maple Diner.

There is also a pizza place at the beginning of the road that had an extensive menu.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this home.
