A Christmas Memory

  • 5 of 5

Hardly a day goes by that we do not talk about the wonderful month we spent in Vermont at this home. Our children had never seen snow, and boy did they see lots of it. The place could not have been nicer. So much open space and lots and lots of windows. We would spend the morning drinking coffee and watching the birds snack at the birdhouse, while our two young children were safely playing on the large wrap around deck. There were endless opportunities for exploration around the large lot. I can only imagine how much fun we would have in the summer with the creek. Although we did have fun throwing snow and ice into the creek and watch it melt away. The house is away from any noise, you are basically the last house on the street. We saw wild turkey on morning walks. We were also centrally located to many activities and quaint little towns. The owner was so helpful with suggestions of activities, places to eat (the brewery was fabulous) and just checking in to see if there was anything we ever needed. The house was very clean and the kitchen was awesome! We made dinner every night and sat around the large dining room table. The wood burning stove was fun for making smores. We can not wait to go again and see what summer time holds for us. I hope we can get this house again because during our month stay this place became our home.

Amazing!!! Plan to be back again !!!

  • 5 of 5

Let me start off by saying this review was LONG overdue !!! Mason is a great guy. I stay in Vermont for a week once a winter for 5 years now and he has by far been the best owner to work with! The house has everything you could need. It is perfectly secluded and has the great feel of privacy and is Vermont style living at its best. The property has a nice open area and hill right next to the house, all you have to do is cross the wonderful creek running past the house. You can sled and fool around for hours. Next you get to the way the house is arranged. Its perfect ! The kitchen and living room are technically on the second floor, with that said they are adjoining with a wide open area with tremendous ceilings. It also has the only thing that could make the "hang out" area better is the beautiful wrap around deck circling the house by the living room dinning room and kitchen. Not far from town, food or the mountian. Great house! Even better owner!

Thanks Mason EVERYBODY had a GREAT TIME

Winter Wonderland

  • 5 of 5

Once again i am pleased to share that my family and I had a wonderful , relaxing, winter vacation up in Woodstock Vermont at the "Seales residence".

Although the ski conditions were not good it is the first time in 5 years that we have had such a warm weather, and i am not complaining. It just meant more time for family meals and shopping and seeing all the wonderful sights Vermont has to offer. Normally the kids are so tired from skiing that they fall asleep but this year I really got to spend a lot of time with them. We went to Sugar Bush Farms, the Vermont Country store, walked leisurely through town and tried out all the delicious restaurants that are so close by. The house feels like home every year we are there and the "Seales" are gracious people that go out of their way to make sure that your stay is perfect. The house was clean when we arrived and we made sure we left it in pristine shape. It snowed briefly just to make it a perfect New Years with a fresh coat to make your view from the living room just beautiful. The house is so spacious, that we could have doubled the amount of my family members and we still would not be in each others way. The Kitchen has everything you need to cook terrific meals so we ate out during the day and had our dinners at home..... cannot wait until next year

A Thanksgiving to remember

  • 5 of 5

Clean, comfortable, bright with lovely views. The pictures don't really do it justice. My family of four and two and half year old spent a lovely four days during the Thanksgiving holiday. A bit tricky to find as GPS doesn't work great in the area, but the very responsive and friendly home owner called to let us know how to locate the property. Great location not far from Woodstock proper.

Heaven on Earth ... A serious get-a-way

  • 5 of 5

I was searching for a real get-a-way in a secluded spot with all the comforts desired and still feeling like I'm in the country, close to the charming town of Woodstock where I came to spend time in. The house was perfect, but most important, the setting offered the seclusion, peace and quiet I wanted, with just enough babble to the brook to lull me to sleep. My little family of dogs enjoyed it as much as I did. There was plenty of room to run, play and chase the ball.
