About Meta Jennings
We purchased Casa del Sol vrbo #345047, right next door to Margarita, in 2010. We worked for a year to make it the perfect beach house for our family....huge infinity pool with grand pool deck, rooftop terrace, balconies, porches, tropical vegetation. It is our little slice of paradise. Then in April 2011, this house next door, Casa Margarita, was put up for sale. We just couldn't resist this beautiful home. We have since worked to make it the perfect spot for a large group gathering. Come down and see for yourself. You'll never want to leave! The owners, Jerry and Meta Jennings, live in a suburb of Dallas, Texas.Jerry owns a glass business in the DFW area. Meta retired from teaching in June 2016 (Yippee!) We have two sons, Brett, 32 and Bradley, 31. We love watching the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Cowboys, enjoy hunting, fishing, traveling, and, of course, the beach life in Puerto Morelos! We look forward to your visit at one of our homes!

Why Meta Jennings chose Puerto Morelos
We have enjoyed traveling to about 15 all-inclusive hotels in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area. We stayed at H10 in 2009 and loved walking into the town of Puerto Morelos. The next summer we decided to rent a condo at Casita Blanca for the month of July. We fell in love with the quaint town and bought Casa del Sol before returning to Texas. Located halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos is a charming little fishing village. The small town atmosphere, the wonderful people, the delicious food at the local restaurants, and beautiful Caribbean waters made the decision to purchase this property an easy one!

We had a blast time there. The house and the pool was just perfect they way they were. We would highly recommend this house to anyone who are looking for a place to rent in Puerto Morelos.
Exceeding our Expectations!
We didn't want to leave! We have stayed in several resorts in the Cancun area and this was our first Casa experience. First off, Meta was so incredibly helpful getting us set up with a nightly chef, tour company, airport transportation and even local photographers prior to our arrival. I cannot say enough about her level of customer service! Also Roberto and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our kids wanted fresh coconuts and one morning he had the staff bring some and open them on the spot. Nina, the sweet woman who cooked us the most amazing authentic Mexican food every night was fabulous!! She and her son brought the food to the home and set it up every night for us. We always had left overs for lunch the next day too. Lighthouse tours treated our teenage children like royalty on all the excursions they wanted to take, always picking them up right at the house. The house was beautiful and a perfect layout for our family. The constant breeze flowed through the house all day and we only had to use AC at night to sleep. The pool was perfect temperature and we spent many hours in it. Being that the home was right on the beach we had the most amazing view from the home and the pool. We took daily beach walks and the beach was never crowded. The little town was so charming and felt very safe! Everyone was so friendly, saying Hola to us as we walked to town. I am sure I am forgetting something but we would come back and stay in Casa Margarita in a minute!
Great stay highly recommended!
We stayed with a group of 3 families. The house location is perfect; its a private and quiet location near the end of town with multiple restaurants and beach bars within walking distance. We had the chef Nina come 3 nights; she cooked wonderful food at a very low price. Gabriela provided massages from the deck of the house on two days. We made same day snorkel reservations and following a 5 min boat ride saw barracuda, an Eagle Sting Ray, eels, coral, and countless kinds of fish. The beach is flat with fine soft sand. The pool with the large lounge area can't be beat. The house is full of amenities which makes packing easy (eg, towels, washer dryer, dish washer, 2 fridges, games, DVDs, party cups, A/C, baby supplies, etc). I highly recommend Casa Margarita!
A great property for a big group to vacation!!
Our group of 7adults and 3 grandkids stayed at Casa Margarita for the Xmas week. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed what this wonderful property and the town of Puerto Morelos had to offer. Meta does a terrific job of making you feel welcome and have everything you need. Not a single negative thing to say, except that one week goes by too fast!! Thanks again for a fabulous stay and for the making of cherished memories!! This is a very special vacation rental that truly deserves 5 stars.
We have rented both Casa Margarita and its' sister property, Casa del Sol, and cannot say enough good about them! Both houses are large and airy, fully-equipped and luxurious. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly; available when needed but not intrusive. The location is perfect for our needs, because it is close to snorkeling, close enough to town to walk , and right on the water. We will be going again!
Amazing house right on the beach-20 min to CUN
We are a 35 yr old couple traveling with a 1 yr old and 3.5 yr old. My wife’s parents(middle 60s) came for the whole week while my mom(72) came for 4 nights. I easily picked her up and dropped her off at the airport. This is the best kept secret in the Yucatán. We have stayed here twice and will hopefully make it an annual thing. We rent a car from CUN and are at the house in 20 minutes. The feeling you get walking out on the pool deck looking at the ocean for the first time is remarkable. The house itself is perfect. Just like meta says it’s not the ritz Carlton but in my opinion is the perfect beach house. It’s not overly fancy but it’s everything you need. With two kids under 4 I feel like they can’t break anything that is going to cost me a mortgage payment. Something I appreciated that I didn’t think about before arriving was the shade for our baby on the sand. He loved it and didn’t get burned. Most importantly the house is clean. The maid service twice was also perfect. I wouldn’t want a daily service and thought twice in a week was perfect.
So the house, pool and beach are great. The town is what really makes it special. There are multiple good restaurants. This year a fancy new grocery store opened so now you don’t even need to drive the 10 minutes to the main highway to get things. Also a trendy new restaurant opened that had a tulum feel so now the town truely has everything almost anyone would want. That is unless you are into national chains. The only complaint about anything by anyone in our entire group was my mom wished the pool was heated. My kids and I found it refreshing but to be totally transparent I thought I should mention that. Book it fast as it fills up fast in the winter.
