Beautiful location, wonderful house
Our extended family travelled to our home town of Wolfeboro for a family funeral. 12 of us spent a wonderful weekend together in this fabulous house. We were all very comfortable and loved the open space on the first floor to gather and the large dinning table to share meals together as a family. The view is spectacular on beautiful Lake Wentworth. The owners were wonderful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this rental!
Great family getaway
Loved the place - Great Lake frontage, well maintained, and very spacious. Would definitely look to rent again
The perfect lakeside house in New England
This rustic house is just ideal for a vacation. Lakeside, big windows, not a lot of sun to overheat the house, and in a secluded, quiet location, but close enough to Wolfeboro for shopping and great restaurants. We wish we had been staying longer.
Great "NH Camp" for long weekend
We needed to sleep 10 for family wedding over at Moody Mountain Barn including kids from 15 months to 15 years. This cottage was perfect blend of extremely well maintained, clean with all needed equipment in the house and on the docks yet still had that touch of being a camp in the woods and close to nature. I had spent many summers in the region as a child over a half century ago and I was immediately taken back to those happy days as soon as I heard the familiar birdsong and the rustle of wind in the pines and spruce. Older kids spent every minute on the water in kayak's and canoes or in the water which was swimmable even in early June. That was critical as it was a record hot weekend. Really appreciated the cool lower level of the cottage even more on the 3 hot nights while kids were so tired they never seemed to even notice the warm nights. Each day the little ones splashed happily at foot of steps while adults could converse on lower patio with the designated watcher on steps close by. Being short hop to town made picking up provisions and lunch/dinner trips easy, 15 minutes to the wedding venue was ideal. All in all everyone pleased as punch with the house, the woods , the lake and the trip. Highly recommend the property for a stay of any duration.
Great bass fishing, relaxing
This property has easy access to the water, great for our main goal of daily fishing. We caught lots of fish. We slept in the newly updated lower level and enjoyed the warmth of the lovely gas fireplace in the cool fall evenings, as well as the beautiful view of the lake from the bedroom.
Awesome lake house!!
We rented this house because we had to attend a wedding at moody mountain farm and this lake house exceeded all of our expectations. The house was big enough for all of us and the lake was absolutely breathtaking!! The owner was so nice and accommodating. If you're looking for a nice weekend getaway, you're definitely not going to be disappointed with this place! Thank you for letting us borrow your home! We might've found our annual "friends getaway" lake house for next summer!
