About Cynthia Lester
We moved from Santa Cruz CA to Tucson in 2000 when my husband retired. I am able to work from home...what an office I am fortunate to have...all of nature! We built the casita in 2007 to be able to share with family and friends. Since then Luminosa has become a place many feel is their own and return every year. And we love that! Now we have created a lovely little suite we are calling Saguaro Suite so others can also come visit . Please check the brand new listing on VRBO: 924322. I called our move trading ocean for sky!

Why Cynthia Lester chose Tucson
The beauty of this property is that it is nestled between the Mountain Parks, the Tohono O Odham reservation and a mitigated wildlife corridor. We drive through the mountain park for "city life" and live in beauty and quiet when home. And our neighbors all feel the same way about how special and rare our area is. Even people "in town" don't know about the homes in this area.

The Casita was a lovely space in a beautiful setting. Cynthia was a great host - very accommodating and helpful.
Great place for a restful retreat in the desert.
clean, open, light, quiet and most agreeable!
This is a fourth return to this property, and my husband and I keep going back because it is an additive experience. The on-site owner could not be more accommodating to our needs. The space is attractive and spacious enough day and night for eating, sleeping, reading, tv viewing, but very conveniently located to the daily outdoor activity and side trips we seek. Love it! And have signed up for another stay.
Great location and great house. Cynthia was wonderful!
We had a wonderful time! House is close to Saguaro National Park and Sonoran Desert Museum. Cynthia was a wonderful host.
Accommodations and idyllic desert setting
wonderful and magical. This is at the top of our list to return.Nothing like it!
If you are interested in experiencing the Sonoran Desert around Tucson, then this is the place for you. We had the privilege of spending two weeks in this quiet and comfortable casita, near Saguaro National Park West. The west-side location is great for easy access to hiking trails within the national park and the Tucson Mountain Park, to the wonderful Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum, and to Kitt Peak observatory.
Cynthia, our host, could not have been more friendly and attentive. Also, she is not exaggerating when she describes the casita as having "endless views sunrise to sunset". We experienced both amazingly beautiful pink sunrises and vermilion sunsets during our stay.
We agree with most of the comments in the previous 5-star reviews, but perhaps the best recommendation is that we sincerely hope to return for another visit again someday.
Casita Luminosa is surrounded by nature in a quiet area where all properties are on at least 4 acres. Ideal for a the beauty of the flora and fauna and outdoor activities. Close enough to Downtown after 30 minute drive through the Mountain Park to have a full Southwest experience.
