About Todd and Teresa Vandre
My husband and I both grew up in Florida; however, life moved us around the United States as we finished school, my husband served in the military, and we followed our careers as a pilot and nurse. Now back in Florida, we fell in love with the small-town charm of Mount Dora, with the amenities of Orlando not too far away.
Todd and Teresa Vandre purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Todd and Teresa Vandre chose Mount Dora
Also known as "The Festival City", Mount Dora is a historic central Florida town located on the shores of Lake Dora -- and is home to antique stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and some of the oldest and largest festivals in Florida every year. From Renningers Antique Center and Flea Market down to the small bakeries and coffee shops of downtown, my husband and I are in love with the Mount Dora!

Perfect place to experience Mt Dora
Great hosts, lovely cottage, terrific location AND dog friendly. Nothing lacking.
So cute and comfortable. Had a great time!!! Wish we could have stayed longer!!!
Excellent Retreat for an Escape
The Blue Oak Cottage exceeded our expectations for our planned escape from the daily routine. Communication with Todd and Teresa were excellent and all was ready for our arrival. This cottage is well appointed with all the amenities for any vacation. Mount Dora Restaurants and shopping are a very short distance and there are numerous restaurants for appetizers or dinning.
The cottage is in a quiet area of town so relaxing on the patio is very enjoyable to sit, read and allow the daily stresses of life to just fade away. The owners were readily available and very interested in making our stay comfortable. Having rented a few homes over the years this one stands out for its location, well designed interior and comfort making it feel like home for our vacation. I would recommend this to all family and friends looking for a unique getaway hosted by a friendly and enjoyable couple.
Thank you Todd and Teresa for an excellent retreat for a week.
Great, Little Cottage..
One of the cleanest, adorable, well-stocked cottages we have ever stayed at. Everything you could possibly ask for, including bicycles,washer/dryer and fluffy robes! My wife can't wait to return with her sisters&friends.

We enjoyed our stay very much. From the time we got there till the time we left Todd and Teresa were very helpful. We will definetly be staying there again. Everything was cozy. I loved how they marked everything so I didn't have to search for anything . Thanks again.
We are happy that you and your dog enjoyed your time in Mount Dora! Again, thank you for choosing our cottage. We would love to see you both back in the future. Perhaps your neighbors get the opportunity to join you next time to explore and enjoy Mount Dora too!
A gem in Mount Dora!
It is not by accident that Teresa and Todd have achieved a 5 star rating from previous guests. All details have been very well thought out and the unit is SPOTLESS and also includes ar cleaners and humidity control. The information provided in the unit was very helpful to have, such as labeling switches to TV remote instructions to tastefully offering guidance as to where essential kitchen items are in what cabinets. The home is very close to the historical district and 2 very nice bikes were provided for guest use. If you want a roadmap to success, stay here! Thank you for a wonderful visit to your cottage!
Thank you for choosing our cottage, and we are so happy to hear you liked the extra touches! We try to view the cottage from a traveler's point of view, and can't thank you enough for the feedback you provided. We would love to see you again in the future!
