This new four bedroom colonial sits at the edge of a beautiful, wild flower filled meadow. It is at the mouth of Perkins Cove and a stones throw from the trolley stop that takes you to the downtown area, the main beach and nearby York. Walk down the private country road, which leads you to the nearby Marginal Way. Follow the path that runs more than a mile along our rocky coastline with Perkins Cove on one end, the baby beach in the middle and Ogunquit Village on the other. All of the shops, fine restaurants, fishing boats and entertainment are within walking distance. This is a great property for family reunions in a private community just off the beaten path of the heartbeat of Ogunquit.
Parking for four cars maximum. If more needed ask. Four great breakfast restaurants within walking distance.
Parking space for two cars in driveway and two more beside the house on pavement.
There are many good golf courses close by.

About George Cooley
George and Lew-Ann built this home in 2004. They live right there on the property and spend their days sailing, working in the garden and playing with their cats, Nosara and Nicoya.
George Cooley purchased this House in 2004
Why George Cooley chose Ogunquit
When looking for the right place for a family reunion or a private home to share with friends, Galway is the best location in town. There is more open land around this house than any rental in Ogunquit. There are two undeveloped lots behind the house and it is on a private road going through an apple orchard. Behind the house is a shaded picnic area under a covering of fresh concord grapes. Just beyond is a beautiful meadow filled with wild flowers. Three other houses on same property are also enclosed in this private field where the sounds of the busy streets beyond seem far away. What more you anyone want? The town trollies stop the corner of the adjacent street. You can walk into Perkins Cove for shopping, dining and boat adventures. You can walk down town to the many shops and restaurants and you can walk to the Marginal Way and little beaches along the way in just minutes. There is a golf course, playhouse, sailing, surfing and fishing all close by and Boston, Portsmouth and Portland are all close enough to explore when the time is right.
What makes this House unique
For the best outdoor dining in town stay home and have cooked lobster delivered to the picnic table. Yoga is offered on the premises and a garden is full of fresh vegitables and flowers in season

Spacious. Spotless. Splendid!
Seven lifelong friends had a 'girls' weekend planned on Nantucket and we had to cancel due to a hurricane. We scrambled the night before, and found this adorable place a stones throw from Perkin's Cove. We contacted the owner, George, directly and within an hour or two, we rented this house. I'm not kidding, it's spotless. And it's roomy, with plenty of personal 'space.' It's on a quiet private street and the Trolley stop is at the corner. You can walk to the shops in Perkin's Cove, downtown Ogunquit, restaurants, the beach and Marginal Way. Would rent it again in a heartbeat!
Thanks for the review. September is the best, warm water and fewer people.
I am glad you had a good time and hope you come back next year. You girls should do another great week-end in the Spring.

The House was wonderful and the location was extremely convenient to downtown Ogunquiit.
The house had a nice open floor plan which made it easy to entertain and it was clean and well stocked. George and Lu Ann were welcoming and available if anything was needed. We had a wonderful family fall weekend! Superb location!
Thanks for the review, hope to see you next summer.

Spacious, comfortable home
Serendipity was on our side-we'd never been to Ogunquit before and were delighted to discover we'd chosen a spot so close to Marginal Way and Perkins Cove and its restaurants and shops. The busy center of town was a good stretch of the legs but manageable even for our 4 year old granddaughter. The house accommodated our daughters and families-4 granddaughters 4 and under. George met us and walked us through the tv etc and we appreciated his tips on where to eat etc. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property to anyone!
Thanks for the review. Hope to see you again next season.

Wonderful location, great family home for vacation in Maine.
Quiet, spacious, with all amenities you will need. Child safe in and out! Wonderful vacation!! Location perfect to enjoy the little town of Oqunquit, Marginal Way, and beach
Truly our Home Away from Home
We have been renting this home since it was first built - for 13 years and 2017 will be our 14th year. Last year we hosted our 50th anniversary party with guests coming from all over the East and South. They stayed at places in Ogunquit but all of the activities were at the Galway and the beach. It was wonderful! George and LewAnn eare now part of the family and make everything so special. Our grandchildren from London cry when they leave and when they arrive they run in laughing and looking to make sure everything is as it has always been. Honestly, there is not a single thing we would change. It is just a tremendous month in a very special place. Thank you so much, George and LewAnn for sharing this with us.
It is our pleasure! Having guest like the Bowens makes our summer! We are very fortunate to have such wonderful families and look forward to seeing them every year.
