This lovely old family home overlooks a beautiful, wild flower filled meadow. It is near the mouth of Perkins Cove and just down the street from the trolley stop that takes you to the downtown area, the main beach and nearby York. Walk down the private country road to the Marginal Way. Walk along the path that runs more than a mile along our rocky coastline with Perkins Cove on one end, the baby beach in the middle and Ogunquit Village on the other. All of the shops, fine restaurants, fishing boats and entertainment are within walking distance. This is a great property for family reunions in a private community just off the beaten path of the heartbeat of Ogunquit.
All four houses are available for family reunions: There are some very good courses in the towns of York and Kennebuckport. The Town of York runs one trolley to Ogunquit and the stop is close by at Frazier Pasture Rd. York beach has the animal kingdom and funland park
Breakfast: Cafe Amore is now next door at Thompson Green. Walk to the best breakfast in town .
Builder . Renovated this house in 1978 and again in 1999

Sits at the end of private road with undelevoped land in front, very private and quite.Screened in front porch 26 feet across the front.
Pic nic table outside under pine trees. Get cooked lobster delivered to the table from local lobsterman. Best outdoor dining in town.
Plenty of room for kids to play outside, long private road for bikes.
This was our first stay in this house. There were 8 of us and we all loved it.
The owner was very personable and showed concern for our enjoyment of the area and the comfort of our stay.
When the rain kept us inside, we had movies and games. Puzzles provided by the owner were a nice addition not to mention the trivia book that kept us entertained when all of Perkins Cove was hit by a nasty storm.
On the humid days, the front, screened porch was a nice spot to relax with a nice cool breeze.
The house is within walking distance of everything Ogunquit has to offer.
I highly recommend this property for a family vacation and I hope to stay there again in the future.
We had a great stay at "The Field" in July 2015 -- The house was perfect for our group of 8, including 3 young kids, and the location near Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way, and a trolley stop made for a very convenient and car-free week. George (owner) was always accessible in the event any assistance was needed, and went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable and had an enjoyable stay. Great house and host and we look forward to staying again!
Comfortable, very clean, private home. Large screened in front porch great for relaxing. Excellent location… let your car stay put. Walk to Perkins Cove and downtown Ogunquit. Easy access to Marginal Way. Owners George and Lew-Ann are great, close by, knowledgeable about area, and very helpful. George recommended sailing on the Silver Lining, which was wonderful. While an older home in need of some TLC, it does have charm and the location simply can’t be beat. Would stay here again. Thanks George and Lew-Ann!
The house met all our needs. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. George, the owner, is very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed staying at this house. Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way are a short walk away as is a trolley stop to take you into town. You can also be in the heart of Ogunquit with a 15 minute walk.
My 5 friends and I just spent a lovely week in Ogunquit. We stayed at one of George's houses and experienced all the rustic comforts of a family home. The screened in porch provided a wonderful spot for reading, card playing, chatting and relaxing. The Adirondack chairs and the grill made the backyard space amendable to outdoor dining and late nights under the Maine stars. The house was spacious with a large galley kitchen, 3 bedrooms, laundry room, dining room, living room, and 2.5 baths. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The house's location was central to everything. Perkin's cove is right around the corner and the beach is a marginal way walk or trolley ride away. One of the best parts of the house and our stay was the hospitable home owner. George checked in on us and made sure we were pleased with our accommodations. He also offered great recommendations for activities. Thanks to George, we spent 2 peaceful hours aboard the Silver Lining with Captain Jack and first mate Brian. The sailing sojourn along Ogunquit's coast was a trip highlight. I highly recommend you book your vacation now and that you stay in one of George's homes. - BS, DF, MB, PG, KB, CS
Loved the screened porch! House was clean and had everything we needed. Had a camp feel to it but was perfect for us. Owner was very helpful with suggestions or questions.
Thompson Lane is on the left off shore as you go toward Perkins cove. It is a private way and the house is at the end. It is about two tenths of a mile to the restaurants in Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way. a short walk will bring you to the little beach or take the trolley to the main beach 3/4 of a mile away. This is one of the best locations in town and is very private with open land in front of the house which you can enjoy from the front porch. Thompson Lane connects onto Cooley lane and kids from all four houses bike and skateboard. Most of the summer renters are families.Go sailing with the owner out of Perkins Cove.
Other Activities: Sailing with the owner on a J-80 out of Perkins Cove
