We are only one hour and fifteen minutes from Monarch Ski Resort and Woodland Park is close by where there is great dining, the Dinosaur Museum, and shopping. The Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and Museum is around the corner and Colorado Springs is just down the pass. During the winter, you will enjoy sledding down a hill on the property and playing in the snow. Only 1 hour 25 minutes to skiing.

In the fall come visit this mountain home to see the beautiful changing of the Aspen leaves. The famous Gold Belt Tour Scenic Byway is a ‘must do’ drive during the autumn season.

And of course, summer time in the Rockies is unmatched. The Aspens are in full bloom and a sprinkling of wildflowers splash color across the landscape.

This is the Pikes Peak backcountry in all its splendor. Enjoy. * Please note a $200 fully refundable damage deposit is required. We do not include this in the auto-rates with VRBO as we do not cash these upon receipt, but shred them after departure as a courtesy for our guests.

Beautiful and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful rustic cabin. The owners decorated the place the way a cabin should be. It really made you feel at home. Quiet and peaceful and great place to unwind. Great property for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Somewhat secluded, but not remote. Yet it was near enough to anything that you wanted to go see or to do. Hope to come back again sometime.

Had a great family vacation. The house was beautiful and we had everything we needed for our stay. The hiking trail was great and the views of the mountains and the trees were lovely.

The property was wonderful and there was more than enough space for my family of four! We had some great hikes on the property and loved seeing the many deer, squirrels, and beautiful birds as we sat on the deck.

Everything we needed was supplied for us and all we had to shop for was our food for the

week.

The only negative was the spotty internet access. It wasn't a big deal because we were there to unwind.

Beautiful, clean, inviting home

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed the quiet location. You can hear the wind in the pines while you watch chipmunks and birds feed right in front of you. The house is so clean and well maintained. I would definitely come back!

Amazingly Tranquil Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We rented the home with a few of our friends and upon arriving we were blown away! Others have said the photos don't do it justice and that is true, the place is great and very well kept. It is very quiet there and we only heard what sounded like an ATV once late at night when we were sitting under the stars. The porch is great to sit on or eat and the hammock makes for great naps. The Deer Trail was great and the view was nice and calming we would stay here again for sure.
