"How to get there?: Check out the low priced charter flights from the UK (easy jet) that run from April to October. Indirect flights are possible with stop at Paris, Marseille or Nice to Figari airport from the UK all year round, book a 'fly/drive' package. For those with more time who like to take their own car,...make it an adventure and drive to France and take the ferry right to Porto-Vecchio. Ferry timetables can be found on their website - ask us for links for both the French ferries and for the Italian lines. Also fly or ferry into Bastia or Ajaccio and drive 2 hours south
The owner lives there in winter and lets it out in summer so everything is immaculate. It had a stylish open plan sitting room with large comfy sofas, and sliding glass doors on three walls.
Outside was a large sun terrace and a private warmed swimming pool which was both gated and had its own alarm – a godsend to parents. The pool area was integrated into several rock formations and surrounded by olive trees and myrtle bushes.
It was very private and quiet, but just a three-minute drive from the nearest beach."
A car is essential and we wasted no time returning to the cliff-top town of Bonifacio on the most southern tip, about 20 minutes’ drive away!

A fantastic villa - faultless!
My family and I stayed here for two weeks over June/July 2012. We have stayed in quite a few villas throughout Europe, and we were very impressed with Villa Dona Lisa.
Inside, the villa is very spacious, with a large living area with plenty of sofas and a big flat-screen TV. The kitchen has all the facilities and cooking implements you would need, and connects through to the dining table and living room in a large, open plan fashion. The villa is very clean - something that pleased us immensely.
Outdoors, there is a great table for al fresco dining, and there are many other little areas where you can get space from your family and friends if needed. The pool area has a great deck for sunbathing, and the pool is warm, clean and large enough for the kids to have a play. The whole outdoor area is very secluded and private, with well established trees.
The location of the villa is great - close to the fantastic Santa Giulia, Palombaggio and Rondinara beaches. You are very close to the great towns of Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio, with the Alta Rocca and L'Ospedale within easy reach for a mountain walk if you get tired of the water.
Christian, the owner, is always available if you have problems, and very attentive to our needs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Villa Dona Lisa, and recommend it to anyone looking for a great holiday.
I've been very glad to meet your charming family, and the way you enjoyed your stay in Corsica, exploring and discovering many aspects of my island, no just seaside, but also mountainside and real traditional Corsica.
Thank you so much to have been so friendly, I did appreciate this, and to have treated Villa Dona Lisa as well as it was yours, I think it's because you've appreciate the villa and feel just like it was your home away home....
Sorry again for my poor english, but facts are always better than many words....
A special word to Chris - What an ironman are you! climbing and falling hills among the corsican nature by jogging all around the villa in the early morning.
Second visit to this Villa and it was fabulous again
We have visited Corsica over 7 times. We found this villa two years ago and returned this summer. It was a great trip. The villa is very well maintained, kitchen has everything you could ever need, very high specification and fab pool. The location is really lovely in a small village, in very easy reach of all the fabulous beaches in this part of Corsica. Supermarkets nearby but also very high quality smaller shops with great food. Eating out is easy with lots of local restaurants. Also easy to get up to the mountains for a day walking and swimming in rock pools. Christian is a super host, communicates via email for booking and is around if you need him at any time but leaves you to get on with your holiday.
Great location. Well presented. Everything worked. Pool spotless. Chris - great help. We'll be back.
A Fabulous Villa in a Beautiful Area
Our family of five (three boys 14 to 17) are privileged to have just enjoyed our second summer holiday at Villa Dona Lisa. It is a very special place located in a traditional, quiet Corsican village, about 10 minutes south of Porto Vecchio by car.
It is the only place we have ever felt compelled to revisit, so wonderful is the villa and the local area, with its contrasting attractions of world renowned beaches, lightly forested mountains (good for walks) and many excellent restaurants, all close at hand. Porto Vecchio is great to walk around with some stylish shops, a port area where our boys enjoyed looking at the yachts close-up and a bustling night life focussed on the many small restaurants and bars in the narrow, pedestrianised streets of the traditional Corsican town centre.
The villa is very private and tranquil making it easy to relax in, with high quality fittings and furnishings and seemingly every amenity provided from coffee machine to complementary snorkelling equipment and free parking pass to the nearby Santa Giulia beach. The secluded pool area is delightful, being ingeniously landscaped into the hillside and well shielded by mature plants. There are also great views of the surrounding countryside, all of which creates an atmosphere of quiet luxury, which makes the villa not just a place to stay but a real pleasure to spend time at in its own right.
Christian is an excellent and gracious host with a strong sense of traditional Corsican hospitality. From the point of arrival, where little welcoming touches delight, he is discretely available to ensure that all goes well with your stay and personally cleans the pool most mornings. The start of our first stay in August 2016 provides an exceptional example of his kindness. Due to a mix up with the hire car, my wife and boys arrived at Porto Vecchio by bus from Bastia late the first evening to find that no taxis to the villa were available as planned because a festival was underway and roads were shut. Christian came out to meet them in his own car, took them up to the villa and provided something to eat.
In summary - fond memories of croissants and pastries from the fine patisserie in Porto Vecchio; relaxing days ‘chilling’ around the pool; simple evening meals of great local cold meats and cheeses on the patio; fine dining at excellent restaurants with stunning views over the bay and idle mornings at lovely beaches with leisurely swims in the warm, clear Mediterranean - Perfect!
Great Place !!!!
We stayed at this property in June and I can only recommend it highly! It is a wonderful house in a quite neighbourhood close to Porto Vecchio and the owner Chris makes you feel at home right away! The living quarters are modern with all the amenities ,the sleeping quarters are clean and nice and the children can stay upstairs!!! The pool is the right size and it is very private and secluded. It is only minutes to the best beaches on Corsica and to Porto Vecchio shopping.Chris is a wonderful patron and he cared for all our needs in a professional and very friendly way ,he made our vacation very special. We would certainly return! Merci bien Chris, bien fait!!
Beautifully maintained and in a dramatic setting
Amazing week once again with this beautiful villa not just a base but a destination venue. Have booked time off work to come back same time next year!
We provide Free internet WiFi also by the pool & A/C. The heated pool is gated and has an alarm, baby cot and highchair are provided. Hi, Villa DONA LISA is available for rent directly with me, after many years of collaboration with famous operators tour companies from UK as Coastline VIP Villas with fully success as one of the villas best seller! Ideally located in a residential typical corsican village area, with plenty of fantastic corsican white sandy beaches all around! known as the most beautiful in Europe, they are all white sandy (Santa Giulia bay, is the closest one less than 5 minutes from Dona Lisa, there are also others fantastic beaches as Palombaggia, Rondinara.....) and porto vecchio centre the famous corsican balnear station, Porto Vecchio, south corsica, is one of the most sunny european spot. The old 'citadel' of bonifacio and the fabulous golf of spérone (18 holes) boarding the sea are nearby.Golf: Fantastic Sperone Golf (Bonifacio), less than half hour away. Recognised as one of Europe's best golf courses, the exceptionally scenic 18-hole Spérone really does have something special to offer. Regularly in the top 100 of Golf World's best it is definitely well worth the trip! As a Robert Trent Jones design (although his European partner Cabell Robinson did the actual work) the course combines 12 inland holes with gorse and heather, with six stunning holes along the coast and seaside cliffs. As soon as you tee off you can enjoy sublime views of the glittering Mediterranean, the Lavezzi Islands and even the distant peaks of Sardinia. Spérone is a test for the best golfers - the fairways are wide, but the challenge arises on this hilly course when playing off the back or when the wind blows. To score well you will need to have every shot in your bag. If your handicap is not yet single figures, the course owners suggest that you play off the forward tees and simply admire the design and scenery. Golf lessons are available, equipment can be rented and the Spérone hilltop clubhouse is also reputed for being a great pre or post game treat. Although Corsica has no other 18-hole golf courses there are 9-hole golf courses, and Golf de Spérone can be perfectly combined with another Robert Trent Jones Sr masterpiece at the Pevero Golf Club in Sardinia. Situated on the Costa Smeralda, at the northern tip of the island. Also Golf Lezza practice + (9 holes), 3 minutes away.
