I am a born Parisian who lives in the USA with my husband and my three children. My job is to raise the kids, take care of our newly built dream home in CT and be a loving mother and wife.
Emmanuelle Levin purchased this apartment in 2000
As I love to go to Paris at least twice a year, I maintain this apartment as our second home. I do not want to leave it empty so I take care of renting it as well.
Boulogne is close to the 16th Arrondissement where I grew up and I always loved its dynamism.
This apartment has a south exposure as I wanted a sunny place; it also has an underground parking which is very practical.
Needless to say it is located on the same floor as my mom's so when we are in town...only an elevator separates us!!Yeah!!
As we drove into Paris, we were so excited to find that our apartment was located right in the city with easy access to everything we needed. We loved that the apartment had parks in a courtyard below for our little children and was just steps away from some wonderful shopping and access to the city bikes for our teenage children. The plaza has wonderful restaurants and a charming carousel with cotton candy. Both our little children and our teenagers had such a marvelous time. The apartment was so nice and quiet, stocked with everything we needed and spacious. We loved sitting on the balcony high above the streets drinking in the beauty of a violet Paris sunset. We felt like we had found a little home away from home with all of the comforts and clean atmosphere. Our hosts had communicated great places in the vicinity to grab groceries as our arrival was rather late on the weekend. We were able to find all that we needed and really enjoyed drinking in all of the charm of Paris.
What a lovely place! This lovely apartment is modern, upscale and in a perfect location! Walking distance to a very nice shopping mall with a gourmet grocery store and fabulous restaurants. You are a block away from the bus line that basically takes you the same route as a more expensive tourist bus and a short walk to the train! Emmanuelle was such a pleasure to work with and we can't wait to go back!
Whether it is the five minute walk to the Metro, the convenience of Monoprix (supermarket), the outdoor Saturday market, or the shops of Boulogne; this is a great location and will enhance any visit to Paris. You are living like a local, and only ten to fifteen minutes from some of the world's most famous attractions.
Within 24 hours, our teenage sons (12 and 14) felt comfortable in Boulogne, and volunteered to do some of the food shopping. During the week, my 14 year old took the metro by himself.
Thinking about a trip to Paris? I will say - rent this apartment and enjoy every moment.
Of all our holidays taken in Paris, this was the most delightful--certainly in part because of this beautiful flat. All listing descriptions were accurate, as well as the earlier reviews. The location was very near Metro stops and so we felt we had the run of all Paris had to offer. We loved staying in such a lovely, restful place, and hope we shall be able to return. The owner was amazing. She helped us work through all manner of problems and bent over backward to accommodate our family. (She alone knows the extent of our needs.) She was always gracious and a joy to work with. We would certainly recommend this flat to anyone who is coming to Paris.
We are four senior women who decided to travel to France this year instead of a U.S. destination. We were a bit hesitant to stay outside the center of Paris but it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. The apartment was super safe with security I've never seen in the U.S. It was quiet as the windows/sliding doors faced interior space and it's on the 6th floor. We slept with windows open and had no street noise. The cost is a real bargain compared to staying in the center of Paris.
We used both the #9 and #10 metro lines and they were equally convenient. An extra 10 minute ride into Paris proved to be relaxing as you get on at one of the early stops and always get a seat. In the morning we picked up croissants at the patisserie and in the evening bought frozen meals at the shop on the ground level. We have nothing this gourmet in the U.S. and they were all fabulous. Better than most U.S. restaurants! The kitchen was modern and immaculate.
It was comforting knowing the owner's mother was next door should be need her, but never did. I wouldn't even bother to search for another apartment on my next trip to Paris. This one had everything we needed.
