Loved it and the location!
This place was very comfortable and in a great location. We enjoyed the property owner's suggestions. VERY comfortable bed. Clean kitchenette with enough supplies to enjoy breakfast and snacks. Antique furnishings add flair. Huge bathroom with double sinks. I would definitely stay again.
An enjoyable stay
Well equipped and located. I loved walking around the local area, especially Magazine Street with its individual shops. Great transport links to downtown. Very comfy bed.
Would have liked to be able to regulate temp in accommodation, and also to have known about noise from closeness of rail tracks.
Having worked as an innkeeper for a 5 star boutique inn in California, I am trained on how to offer the highest level of accommodation and care in my short term rental, which is reflected in my listing and in the many reviews of very satisfied prior guests.
Ms. Lock came at the peak of the Spring time here with the best weather that could be experienced here in NOLA. I provide a lush down comforter for cool evenings and a fan for times when the temp is warmer. I am always very responsive to guests who let me know that they are uncomfortable in any way.
New Orleans is a port city located at the mouth of the Mississippi River, which is the most major North/South shipping artery in the US. In addition to its history and culture, we are also industrial. At times, there will be horns sounding from the ships and trains that pass through as the river is located several blocks from my house. I am sensitive to trains and loud noises and have never found these to be a serious problem here, nor have any of my other guests, many of whom comment that they prefer to stay in this part of town instead of the noisy bustle of the French Quarter.
In all, my guests will experience the best of the history and charm that New Orleans has to offer.
Great location near Mardi Gras parade routes. House was nice and clean with spacious bath. Kathleen was great hostess.
Pictures do not do it justice!
My boyfriend and I stayed over New Years holiday and had an amazing time. Our Uber/Lyft was only $13 to the quarter. The house is close to everything and is beyond beautiful. Ms. Kathleen is an amazing host as well. She gave us plenty of privacy and called me after we checked out to inform me I left some clothing behind. I WILL stay there again if the room is available.
Gracious hostess. Very comfortable, clean, tasteful. We would love to return.
The place was easy to find, nice neighbourhood. Very clean, beautifully decorated.
Host was quick to reply, supplied a helpful information book in room. We enjoyed coffee on the porch swing, free street parking and a comfortable bed.
