Doug and I were born and raised in Montana, living in Helena, Sunburst, Missoula, and the Flathead Valley. At the age of 50+, we moved to California, and are currently living and pastoring a church in south central Los Angeles. We love our work, but our Meadow Lake home lets us keep a small foothold in our home state. When we have had it with traffic, smog, and crime, a short trip to Meadow Lake sends us back refreshed.
Cathy Kelley purchased this condo in 2007
We love the seasons at Meadow Lake. After living in California for 12 years, we have learned to recognize that there really are seasons in southern California, but you have to look for them. Some people say that Montana has four seasons: June, July, August, and winter, but we don't think that is totally accurate! Our active children love skiing at Big Mountain during the winter, swimming at Flathead Lake during the summer, and hiking year round. Doug and I love the changing view out of our condo living room window, as we read and rest by the fire!
Very nice, clean, well stocked, and organized. We really enjoyed out stay - everyone had a great time. Used the golf cart for a round - nice touch having that available. Hot tub, deck, quiet, location, scenery - GREAT PLACE! Thanks to Doug and Cathy for their care and attention to detail.
My husband and I just spent five wonderful days in this well designed duplex. It has a lovely view of the golf course and is conveniently located between Glacier Natl Park and Whitefish. Loved our time there and would definitely rent it again. It would be perfect for two couples. Did didn't need a thing. Judy, San Antonio, Tx
We had a great stay at Meadow Lakes resort... The location was perfect for what we wanted to do on our vacation.. And that was tour Glacier and golf... The house was very nice
and meet our needs... Thanks for a great vacation the Ternes family.
We just returned from a long weekend at this condo. The booking process was easy and Cathy made sure we were informed with welcome emails and updates. The accommodations were exactly as we expected and very comfortable for our group. A very cozy quiet condo with great views of the golf course. The condo was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay and the grocery store was just down the road. The location was very central to all the activities we were interested in. We would book this property again without hesitation.
Based on previous ratings we thought this would be a great place to stay. We used the condo as a base camp to get to Glacier.
The owners were nice to work with, but we were really disappointed when we arrived. The decor is extremely dated, and the living room furniture was very uncomfortable. We had a couple of days of bad weather during our stay and spent more time in the condo than we had planned to. For whatever reason, most of the TV channels were blocked. We could not watch most basic cable TV channels. Very odd. As previous guests mentioned, the kitchen does have basic spices which were nice, and laundry soap. Kitchen utensils/pots/pans very basic. Pots and pans and coffee maker are so old that they did not work well. These need to be replaced. For the price we paid i was just expecting something nicer when we walked through the door. Frankly it was depressing.
One thing to note too, the window treatments are see through. No big deal except for the bedrooms. I would get dressed in the master bedroom closet at night.
if we come back to this area we will stay in Whitefish.
We stayed at Doug and Cathy's condo the last week of August and first week of September (2015). Place was great! Without a doubt the "best equipped" condo we have ever stayed in. The garage was a pleasant surprise and really convenient. The availability of the computer and internet made it so easy to confirm the reservations home and print the boarding passes. The condo really felt like home....nice recliners. It's apparent that Doug and Cathy take pride in their "home away from home". And last but not least...the HOT TUB was great. After daily hikes through Glacier, the old body really appreciated it. This condo is a great base from which to explore Glacier and the Flat Head Lake area. Pleasant surprise was the town of Whitefish and the quaint shops "downtown". Thanks again for the hospitality, you've got a wonderful place.
Our family of four stayed here in early August to provide a home base for our vacation to Glacier National Park. The location was perfect for us. It only takes about 30 minutes to get to the West Entrance of GNP from the condo. It is about 1 mile from a grocery store. The condo is nicely appointed and the beds are fantastic! We enjoyed the hot tub, but we didn't have time to use the golf cart and clubs provided. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, which we really appreciated. We have rented many condos in other places and find that we often have to start from scratch and bring everything (sugar, salt and pepper, and other spices, laundry detergent, zip lock bags, etc.) However, the owners have generously provided all of these things so we just had to buy food. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting Glacier.
