Awesome Maine Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Drury Lane has all the best amenities for the perfect Sebec Lake Retreat. The views from the dock of the lake and Borestone Mountain are breath-taking. The 3 bedroom retreat is furnished with all the things you'd expect to find in your own home plus there is a fantastic fully screened porch room that offers all the best of indoors and outdoors! You can sit out on the porch in a comfy rocker or sofa, read your favorite book, listen to the sounds of the lake and inhale the fresh country air! Memories will be made vacationing on Drury Lane.

Pictures Don't Do Justice

  • 5 of 5

Upon arriving at the lake house, the outside looked a lot like the picture of the front of the cottage, but then you notice the front yard (lakeside), and you notice how much larger it looks than the pictures show. The yard is great for bonfires and laying out in the sun, its very open. The dock is solid, its great for fishing off of.

Once you head inside, you notice the interior is amazing. It is all shiny wood. The kitchen is large, the dining area has great seating for 6 people and the table is awesome for playing cards. There is a little balcony off of the dining room where the hummingbirds come to the feeder hanging there. The living room is nice, a comfy couch and two recliners. The downstairs bedroom has a bathroom right in it, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is large.

Upstairs, it is not at all what I expected. I thought it was going to be just one room with a bunch of beds. There are three areas to the upstairs. One area has three twin beds and off of that is a little living area with a table to play games. The view from there is great, there are big windows surrounding the upstairs to look out over the lake. The next area is closed off by a curtain, but it has two twin beds. What we did was put the two twins together to create a queen size bed, that worked very well. There is a bathroom up there two which is nice if you travel with two families, you each have your privacy.

All in all, it is a fantastic getaway. We will DEFINITELY return next year.

The fishing is good, it just takes a little time to find the right spot - we rented a boat so it was easier for us.
