About Tim and Eva Rhode

The Rhodes

Tim and Eva Rhode purchased this house in 2013

Why Tim and Eva Rhode chose Ohio

This home's unique California ranch design was chosen and built by beloved family members in the 50's. The extended Rhode family is very sentimental about the house and after managing it as a rental for several years, it was purchased from the estate so that it would remain in the family.

What makes this house unique

The location is wonderful and the home is well-stocked, including interior spaces that make it perfect for generational entertaining and group dining. This home makes vacationing together a breeze!

Friends and Family

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time and this house was perfect for our 2 families (4 adults and 3 teenagers). The house is much bigger than it looks from the outside. It has a nice open floor plan and being all on one level is a plus! The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. The convenient location makes for a quick walk to the beach!

Great Location, Great House, Great Extras!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Huron and the house was perfect. Plenty of space in the house (with 4 teens!) and well stocked kitchen supplies. The bikes were handy for trips to the store or rides around the neighborhood. The kids liked walking to Dairy Queen! The beach 2 blocks away meant we could easily run back to the house for extra stuff we forgot. Dinner on the deck almost every night was wonderful too! I hope we can return in the years to come!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words about the house and location. We try to have everything available to make family fun very easy! Please come back again! (The house is situated 1 block from the entrance of the park/beach. It's a short walk through the park to get to the sand, and the beach is nice and deep, so the walk to the water's edge may seem like a second block to some.)

Our family trip

  • 5 of 5

Place was most comfortable with a well supplied kitchen. Lighting was dim: prefer lamps with stronger watts for reading. Great location. Wonderful beach. Quiet.

Spacious. The square footage should be added to give it justice.

Owner was most helpful answering questions. I have reccommended it.

Family Reunion Spot Sublime

  • 5 of 5

This roomy house is great for multi-generational gatherings. Great space to converse and another for TV,etc. Kitchen has counter space galore and seating for a big group. Loved the flow and private den for the computer. Garage had bikes and a wonderful classic red wagon for lugging chairs or toddlers to the beach. Clean house and cool locatiton--Dairy Queen is steps away!

6th Year Staying Here!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 6th year staying here and there's a reason for that... This place has it all!! The house is equipted with EVERYTHING one would need, just like home. There's so much space to spread out and very comfy beds. The owners are SO easy to work with and have gone out of their way to make sure this place feels just like a "home away from home" for us. But the best part... the 3 minute walk to the beach!! We come up every year for a family reunion, and have built such wonderful, life long memories. My daughters were 1 and 2 years old when we first starting coming here and they really think this is a second home of ours. Rent from Eva and Tim and you will not be dissappointed!
