Property type condo
Minimum Stay 3 - 4 nights

About the property

2 BR, 1.5 BA, Sleeps 4 adults and 2 children maximum

Welcome to our condo in the woods - though it's a condo, our guests often comment once they step inside they think they're in a cozy cabin. We're on 40 secluded, wooded acres on a ridge above town and the lakes. Looking for water views? Our deck affords expansive views of Shadow Mountain Reservoir, Mount Baldy and the snow capped mountain ranges. The 'townhome' style of our complex means we are in separate, staggered buildings, providing windows on three sides and plenty of trees, mountains and water to gaze upon. Enjoy the quiet of our park-like setting with the convenience of town within easy reach on foot or by bicycle. The gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park is just one mile from our door. We are on an 'elk run' and in the fall they bugle just below us. Other times of year expect to see bear and fox. Distinctively decorated, our condo has been completely remodeled down to the rafters. Our guests describe our property as 'cozy' and 'romantic.' Luxury amenities abound.

About Katie Harberg

Your hosts - Rob and Katie. We live in Boulder, Colorado and enjoy Grand Lake where we love to cook leisurely meals and enjoy a glass of wine watching the sunset over Grand Lake and Mount Baldy - all this after a day of hiking or fishing!

Katie Harberg purchased this condo in 2003

Why Katie Harberg chose Rocky Mountain National Park

We fell in love with the views from our deck, and our guests have too! The million dollar setting prompted us to gut the interior and create the vacation rental we had always tried to find - rustic, but with great linens, towels and kitchen equipment.

What makes this condo unique

Quiet, park-like setting on 40 private acres with views in all directions and abundant wildlife viewing, yet very close to town. Charming interior décor with all the comforts of home, and did we mention the views over the lake!?

Gettin' out of the City

  • 5 of 5

What a great place! My family wanted to get out of the City and enjoy the mountains. We had everything we needed and the View was just beautiful. The boys went snowboarding a couple of days and then we went snowmobiling. Restaurants were close by, roads were clear before we left the condo I can go on and on...loved it and want to go back! :)

Feels like home

  • 5 of 5

We love this place and have stayed during all four seasons over the last three years. The lake view, framed by Baldy and Shadow Mountain, is extraordinary. You can watch the 4th of July fireworks without obstruction from the patio, too - while using the nice new grill. In winter it is peaceful and gorgeous looking down on the sleepy village. The decor is a super tasteful flavor of Western that shows how much the owners care about the finer points of comfort. Snug and warm with the fireplace on, airy and bright in the late summer evenings with the patio opened up. The kitchen is well appointed - twice we had the random urge to make pie, and found there's even a hand mixer perfect for whipped cream. Comfortable bedding, nice towels, nice dishes ... honestly, it's fun to just cook and watch tv and read books in this place. You won't regret it.

Absolutely beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay here! The condo is beautifully decorated and the views are spectacular! Every morning I would grab my coffee and head for the balcony. Sitting in the quiet of the morning, watching the sun rise and deer roaming up the doesn't get better than this!! The town of Grand Lake is just darling and Rocky Mountain National Park is fabulous! Hoping we can return one day soon!!

Terrific winter break

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this condo in January. The views are very beautiful and the furnishing were excellent. Sitting in front of the gas fireplace was very cozy, especially with the snow falling outside. We enjoyed hikes around Grand Lake, skiing in Granby, and renting snowshoes to do some trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. This condo is located in a perfect spot and would highly recommend it.

Vacation couldn't be beat!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the condo was perfect! The condo is homey and welcoming, and it was so nice to have the updated appliances to use. Since the kitchen has just about all the utensils you could need, eating in was a breeze for breakfast or after a day of sightseeing. The linens and bedding were plush and comfortable. The deck was perfect to watch sunrises but especially the sunsets! Very convenient to Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. Would recommend this condo to anyone! Thank you, Rob and Katie!
