Loads of amenities! Great for visiting parents, faculty, brides, workshops
My family and I stay in vacation homes all the time. In fact, we love them so much we have recently opened this one, "Stones Throw Cottage." We spent nearly a year renovating and decorating it for guests. We are very proud of the results and hope you agree! I do real estate marketing and blogging. My passions are music festivals, travel, craft beer, local cuisine and wine tasting. Of course I enjoy brisk walks to burn it all off! My husband and I are very involved in Denton County real estate. We encourage everyone to visit the historic downtown Denton square where you will find live music, local restaurants and fun shops. We also belong the Denton Area Running Club and, in fact, I recently cheered from the sidelines as my husband set his personal record finishing his 10th Ironman in Santa Rosa, CA!
Lauren purchased this House in 2016
Why Lauren chose Denton
We chose this property in the highly sought-after 76201 zip code due the vibrant college atmosphere and the Historic Downtown Square which is unique, active and has numerous independent shops and restaurants. To top it all off, the craft coffee and craft beer gardens are some of the best we have found, anywhere in the USA!
What makes this House unique
This was a rare find! The cottage has beautiful natural light and a charming look and feel. I can't say this enough, but we love the easy and close proximity to UNT & TWU, as well as arguably the best downtown square in Texas--and maybe even the nation!

Great little house
House is wonderful and very comfortable for 3 to 4 adults. Beds slept the best of any rentals we have stayed in.
We appreciate your review Phyllis and your feedback. Something to note for next time is that we do have a bench in one of the bedrooms for additional seating.
We really enjoyed our stay at Stones Throw Cottage. It was comfortable for our family of four. Everything at the house is clean and well kept.
Thank you! Glad you guys were comfortable and enjoyed your stay. You took excellent care of our cottage. Hope you can return!
My mom and I had a fantastic time. The hosts were so thoughtful and paid attention to every detail. Hope to come back soon.

The cottage is very welcoming and a true gem.
Thanks to Lauren and her cottage we were able to bring together siblings and grand baby for a quality time visit. Memories made that last a life time.
Thank you for the kind and thoughtful review Shannon! So glad your family made lasting memories at our cottage.
Cozy, convenient, and nicely kept.
We had a wonderful stay while visiting family in Denton. The house was equipped with all things needed (coffee!) and it was very clean, updated, and cozy. Many accommodations were provided to make our stay stress free, and the location was perfect for visiting family. Highly recommended cottage. The owner was also quick in responding if needed for anything.
Thank you Ashley! Very pleased you found our cottage to be stress free, clean, updated and cozy! That is our goal. Please come back!
You must visit the Denton County Courthouse on-the-square for a Romanesque architectural wonder, complete with a museum. You can also enjoy independent restaurants, beer gardens, music venues and a variety of shopping experiences. Must check out LSA Burgers for an amazing balcony view of the courthouse square. Other favorites are Barley & Board, Hannah's, Queenies and 940s.
For beer gardens, Oak Street Draft House, Harvest House and East Side are all amazing with dozens upon dozens of craft beer choices. If you like beer you MUST go to one, or all, of these establishments. You are also sure to find food trucks during peak hours.
The Fry Street area on the UNT Campus also has original restaurants and bars and cool college vibe.
