This cosy and functionally decorated holiday home is located 150 metres from the IJsselmeer in the Frisian town of Laaksum (Warns). The holiday home is a former fishing cottage and is right at the edge of the village with a view right up to the horizon. There is an enclosed garden and a large private meadow. The house is in an area that has been declared a landscape park and it contains a large bird reserve and the famous Red Cliff. Here you can hike, cycle and drive to your heart's content. The IJsselmeer with the harbour of Laaksum is at the other end of the dyke 150 metres away. It's lovely to swim there, to fish, or to walk around the IJsselmeer. Dogs can run free. The Frisian lakes and the forests of Rijs and Gaasterland are both within a 3 kilometre radius from the house. There are shops and restaurants in Stavoren (5 km) In the surroundings there are plenty of sights and trips you can do. A visit at the Frisian cities Stavoren, Hindelopen and Workum (Jopie Huisman Museum) are highly recommended. The Sybrandys children's park in Oudemirdum is ideal for kids, and they would also enjoy a boat trip to the open-air museum in Enkhuizen.
