We had a wonderful time at De Paddestoel (our second visit). The house was, as before, superb. It is beautifully situated in a woodland setting and all you hear is birdsong. Walking and cycling is readily available on the many safe and good quality cycle routes. As before our 2 weeks just seemed to disappear far too quickly - we hope to return in the future.
Unique house situated in a quiet forest setting. Great location for family bike rides through the national park situated 5 minutes from the house (by bike)..
Lots of entertainment in the playroom for all ages.
We had a wonderful time staying in a marvellous circular home, located in a wood. The house itself was built and furnished to a high standard and the owner very friendly. We spent a lovely two weeks discovering Drenthe by bicycle and what a great time we had. The surrounding area was superb for cycling and the people very friendly. Our woodland home provided us with great sightings of various wildlife with visits from fox, deer and a red squirrel to name just a few. We used our motor vehicle very little because we just didn't need it - the change from our usual routine at home was most welcome.
All in all a great time and one we would happily recommend.
