This home is a true 'rental by owner' with check-in, housekeeping, etc. on-site. Former model home in one of the premier communities of Corolla. This professionally decorated home has been meticulously maintained.

The left side of the duplex is maintained as a private residence. You will be renting the right side of the duplex. Recent upgrades include - new flat screen TVs with Blue Ray DVD, new sink/faucet and microwave in the kitchen, new dishes and flatware, re-upholstered dining chairs, new carpet and mattresses in twin bedroom, new bedding in master, many new décor items (pillows, rugs, etc.). Recent improvements (2014) include propane grill, high efficiency washer/dryer, new upholstered furniture for the living room and memory foam mattresses for the king and queen bedrooms. Homeowners ensure property is up to date and constantly makes improvements ensuring you have a relaxing and comfortable stay.

All linens and kitchen utensils are provided - all you need to bring is your sunscreen, bathing suit and food (grocery store is short walk across the street).

Sleeps 8. One King, one Queen, two bedrooms with twin beds. Pack-n-play is available (but no infant crib).

Buck Island is a private gated community that is immaculately maintained. You literally do not need a car when you stay in our home. You can walk on the tree lined sidewalk to the beach! Or head west and cross the road to shop and dine in the Timbuk II shopping center or go north across Albacore Street to Monteray Plaza where you will find more shops and the Food Lion. Take advantage of the resort style community amenities such as the Olympic sized pool, tennis courts, cabana house, private beach boardwalk, etc., available exclusively to Buck Island Guests.

Book a vacation everyone can enjoy. The northern beaches offer abundant activities such as the Corolla Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, wild horse sightings, or you can travel south to Kitty Hawk, Nags Head and Roanoke Island where endless recreational activities await you. Just want to relax? It's all here - you won't be disappointed.

We live in Ohio and have enjoyed the Outerbanks for about 25 years. Each year we spend 4-6 weeks in the fall and again in the spring on the OBX with most of our time spent doing home improvements, upgrades, and maintenance to keep the home in tip-top shape.

Corolla is less comercialized than most of the communities on the OBX and Buck Island is very quiet and laid back. But, our location enjoys the convenience of nearby shopping and restaurants all within walking distance.

~PERFECT~

This was a wonderful vacation! This beautiful house was furnished with everything we needed!! We didn't want to leave. The private, gated community is absolutely STUNNING! My daughter had fun feeding the turtles that are in the pond. The beach is beautiful and we did use the cabana services. Brad had our umbrella set up every morning. We cooked our food a lot...but we did eat out at Awful Author's . It was yummy!!! Perfect, safe place for your family. Saw a lot of dogs. Wish we could have brought ours. Thanks Ann! Hoping to be back next year!!

Great rental

We really enjoyed our stay at this home & this area of OBX. We were in walking distance from the grocery store, restaurants, & entertainment. The private subdivision with side walks & private bathroom & life guard made the vacation even better.

First time to OBX

This house was beautiful! They thought of everything you could possibly need while staying there. This was my family's first time to the Outer Banks and we definitely will be coming back again next year and staying in this same house. This house exceeded all of our expectations! The owner's of this home have been nothing but pleasant and are quick to return e-mails if you should have any questions while staying there!

OBX Trip-Twice the fun 1

This was our 2nd time staying at this house. We have stayed all over the US and this home by far exceeds the other places we have rented. Every detail has been thought about and provided. The kitchen has everything you could ever need and the house itself has chairs, cribs, beach toys and the list goes on and on. All you have to do is show up with your groceries and start having fun. The decor is top notch and it is very very clean and well kept! You cant go wrong staying here. I hope your family enjoys this place as much as we have. A++ property

Twice the fun

This house was gorgeous inside and had every utensil you could ever want in your kitchen. You can walk to restaurants, ice cream,shops, and the supermarket. The beach is walkable or you can drive your car to a small lot in the development. The owner was so easy to deal with, they even provided a welcome bag and returned our security deposit right away. I would definitely stay here again.
