Overview

About the property

Renovated, two story gem in town! King and queen beds + large kitchen!

The house is two stories and was built a few years ago. We recently renovated the entire house and property, so it feels brand new. High quality finishes, furniture, mattresses, sheets, appliances, light fixtures, etc. The kitchen and outdoor BBQ are excellent for family meals, and there is a dining table inside as well as outside. The bathrooms have oversized rain showers. The upstairs bath was designed to feel like a small spa with a large claw foot tub.

Our backyard is perfect for laying in the sun, reading in the studio shed, having a fire in the fire pit, or enjoying a meal under the stars. We also turned our basement into a hangout space with full size (extra long) day bed, dart board and music.

BEACHES: The house is a few blocks from the Fifth Street Beach and Park in Greenport. You can easily walk or park (you don’t need a permit there). The other beautiful public beaches are a 10-20 minute drive depending on which beach. For example, Norman L Klipp Beach Park in Greenport is a 10 minute drive and is $25 to park for the day without a resident beach permit. It’s a wonderful beach with views of Shelter Island and restrooms. You can also bike to Norman Klipp Beach from the house — we do it all the time. It’s a nice fun ride (About 20-30 Min). Orient State Beach Park is a 20 minute drive and parking is $10. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards there and they have lots of areas to picnic and BBQ.

The house is a 5 minute walk from both the LIRR Greenport stop as well as the bus (Hampton Jitney). Downtown Greenport (groceries, restaurants, marina, etc) is also a 5-10 minute walk.

There is so much to do not only in Greenport and the entire North Fork, but also Shelter Island (walk to the ferry from the house). There is an excellent bike rental in town (not very expensive with new bikes). We have a printout of our favorite wineries, restaurants, beaches, boutiques, etc for guests.

About Lauren Beebe

Originally from Wisconsin, I have lived in NYC for the past 10+ years. I split my time between Brooklyn and the North Fork of Long Island. I am a small business owner in the tourism industry and have previous experience with a luxury hotel brand. I am extremely passionate about hospitality and travel!

Lauren Beebe purchased this house in 2014

Why Lauren Beebe chose Pipes Cove

The North Fork of Long Island is incredible. From the wineries to the restaurants to the beaches and the people! Greenport is our favorite town within the North Fork. If you know the South Fork / The Hamptons, Greenport is basically Sag Harbor 30 years ago (but with better restaurants and cuter shops!).

What makes this house unique

The backyard is the centerpiece of the house. We upgraded the shed so it's an indoor / outdoor living room. We built a huge outdoor shower and have tons of plants, flowers and veggies growing. New BBQ with outdoor lights, dining table, sofas and lounge chairs. It's a little paradise. Oh, and can't forget the fire pit!
