Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps up to 6 with 2 on sleeper sofa)
Welcome to paradise. A private, two bedroom, non-smoking condo at the Palms at Wailea with sweeping ocean views from Molokini to West Maui. It is not only one of the best views at The Palms but also in Wailea. The unit is located a leisurely 10-minute stroll from exclusive Keawakapu Beach (the 'Malibu of Maui') and The Shops At Wailea. It features ocean views from all rooms, with a large private lanai for discrete sunning, dining and relaxing.
Our unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen remodeled in 2016 and approximately 1,200 square feet of interior space. The living room has an attached dining room and a large 300 square foot lanai with a fabulous panoramic ocean view. The kitchen has double hinged windows opening to a breakfast bar on the lanai. The master suite has a queen bed, private tiled shower and an ocean view from bed. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and a separate private bathroom with shower. The wall to this bedroom can be retracted to open it into the living area for additional space and ocean views. Only the master bedroom has air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans in every room, and ample floor fans to keep things comfortable.
This unit is our private retreat from the mainland. We bought it in 2013 and have been updating it to suit us and our guests. We bought new furnishings for the living room and dining area in 2014 -- a dining room table and chairs that seat six and the living room set includes a queen sleeper sofa with a very comfortable 8 inch thick mattress and pillow top and two large comfy chairs. We also added UV blocking solar blinds and replaced all of the carpeting with new tile floors. In 2015, we replaced the master bathroom shower/tub with a new walk-in tiled shower featuring a turtle motif in honor of Maui's many honu. In summer 2016, we completely renovated the kitchen.
Unlike many other units, ours has never been in a rental pool, there is no road noise, and there are no obstructed views. A whole house (six-speaker) stereo music system and light dimmers in each room allow you to set the perfect atmosphere throughout the unit. This unit is great for honeymooners or those seeking a memorable island getaway. If you leave the windows open at night, you can wake to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the shore.
Feel free to leave the solar blinds and windows open day and night to enjoy remarkable privacy and the natural sights, sounds and fresh island breezes. Bring your laptop for a wireless internet connection in any room. Awake in bed to the light of a Maui morning and possibly spot a whale breaching on the horizon during whale season. Toast the end of a perfect day with a panoramic Maui sunset from your private table on the lanai. This is a unit that would be classified as a superior-deluxe, ocean view unit at any major resort.
The unit is meticulously maintained to a high level of detail, cleanliness and ambience. This assures no negative surprises each time you visit. Welcome to The Palms. Your escape to paradise!

Fantastic Wailea location
We really enjoyed our stay at the Palms 1102 for many reasons. The condo itself is well-appointed, has comfortable beds, provides lots of beach accessories (boogie boards, sand chairs, extra beach towels, and floaties), combination lock entry, upstairs unit, lovely deck and spectacular views. The complex is peaceful, a good walking location between Wailea proper and S Kihei, has a pool and jacuzzi, and has a reserved parking spot in front of the unit.
The only (minor) issue we had was there was no ice available in the freezer when we arrived. The front water/ice dispenser was broken (and a replacement on order I was told). We thought that meant we would have no ice during our stay but it turned out ice was still being made (just not dispensed) but VERY slowly. Funny story, since when we asked several different people to borrow ice, they all also said their ice makers were extremely slow. Might want to buy ice your first trip to the store...
We stayed in this unit for a week and really enjoyed it. It was very spacious and comfortable for our party of 5; there were plenty of beach chairs and towels. The view is the best part about the unit, as other reviewers have mentioned, so the Maui sunset can be enjoyed every night without leaving the condo.
We will definitely return
I love staying at the palms and this is probably the seventh unit that I stayed at and it was by far the best. The view is fantastic as we watched whales jumping and the unit is nicely appointed. Having snorkel gear and boogie boards was a nice bonus. I will definitely stay there again.
5 Star view
This was the third time I rented this condo, always returning to this particular unit for the view. I was very happy to see some needed updates, such as new flooring and living room furniture, a new screen door and master shower. Although this unit may not have as many 'extras' as some others, such as extra serving dishes, games, or music docking station, I appreciate how it isn't cluttered. Everything we needed was there, including a good pair of binoculars with which to watch the whales from the lanai. The owner has always been very helpful, even when we left some camera gear behind. The Palms is a great location, an easy walk to great beaches and the popular Wailea seaside walking trail. The Palms has a lovely pool area and lots of green space. My extended family has chosen this resort many times over the past 20 years., and will continue to do so.
My favorite memories from this trip were made while kicking back and taking in the sunsets on the nights we stayed in and sitting on the balcony, staring at the night sky while talking with my husband after we put the kids to bed. The condo is well furnished and has some good beach items that we used such as a cooler, chairs, an umbrella and boogie board. The master bath and floors throughout were recently upgraded and look great. The only detractor was that it seemed to be less breezy than usual in the evenings while we were there, so it got a little warm in the main area. The master bedroom air conditioning worked great. We were with five other families who were staying in other units in the same development, and they were all impressed by the view. So much better than the others for the price! We had three kids and a baby and it fit us well. We would love to go back sometime.
What a view! Great condo and a wonderful place
We booked this condo from a recommendation by a family friend. It looked amazing on the website but nothing can prepare you for the actual stunning view from the lanai. The condo has been modernised to a great standard, it's clean, bright, well equipped and the air con in the main bedroom was much appreciated. Wailea is a great location. Short walking distance to a wonderful beach, yet you will need a car for shopping and exploring. There's a pool in the complex with a jacuzzi which was great. The birds will visit you in the morning on the lanai which is highly entertaining but the sunrise and sunset is the best. The bed was very comfortable, so much so we wanted to take it home. Wifi was freely available and fast. Only the condo phone wasn't working but we knew about that beforehand. The condo owners Phil and Jennifer were so easy to deal with, very detailed and no question was too much to ask. We had the most relaxing holiday and wish to go back soon. We highly recommend this condo with its stunning views and as it's an end unit, private too. Aloha and Mahalo for a great experience.
Our property is located in beautiful Wailea in South Maui. South Maui is known for the best weather on Maui with much less rain than in West Maui. We are a short walk or quick drive to Keawakapu Beach, which is the northern end of a three-mile stretch of beaches spanning from Polo Beach in the south, through Wailea Beach and Ulua Beach, to end with Keawakapu Beach. It is a great beach for small children who are trying the ocean for the first time, and the afternoons often bring bigger waves for boogie boarding and ocean play for the bigger kids. For those wanting to try water sports, you can rent boogie boards, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, and kayaks throughout South Maui. There are beach side rentals at Polo Beach and Wailea Beach. South of Polo Beach are the beaches of Makena, featuring the famous Big Beach--known for its big waves. Ulua is well-known for its snorkeling if you go early in the morning, but there are lots of colorful fish and some turtles around the coral and rocks at the south end of Keawakapu Beach. The Shops at Wailea are located less than a mile south of our unit, with multiple restaurants and lots of shopping. There are more restaurants just up the hill from the shops and at all of the resorts south of us. Most of them have amazing sunset views. Just north of our unit is the start of the town of Kihei, with a variety of shops and restaurants and multiple beaches.
