Wonderful location, clean and lovely space. Well stocked kitchen and pantry, all the necessary tools and spices.
Great house just a block uphill from downtown Cordova. Beautiful views over town to the harbor and outlying islands and mountains. The house is spacious and comfortable with everything you could need. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans and high quality knives. We've stayed here multiple times and look forward to coming back.
Very spacious home with lots of room to entertain. We slept 8 men very comfortably. This home is well maintained and located convinantly within the city area.
Great for famililies or large fishing groups!
Friendly and accommodating staff cares for the home while ensuring your needs are being met.
My friend and I went to Alaska to explore and we did despite rain. Speaking from both of us, we never felt more comfortable after being waterlogged for a few days in the bush than we did when we arrived at "THE YELLOW HOUSE" on the hill. We just stayed in for a few days to thaw out, we hired a local lady to buy provisions, and she cooked wonderful culinary delights and I really relaxed and time stood still. Cordova is a sleepy fishing village and I enjoyed the reality of a real town unaffected with tourism, all the while staying in a lovely, clean, comfortable home. I look forward to the opportuntiy to return. Gordon from Bevery Hills
Staying at this beautiful, fully equipped, home was the best Alaska vacation ever. The mountains are "right there" and I could watch the fishing boats in the sound without leaving my chair. The town is only a few blocks away with several good restaurants and a wonderful museum with Alaska history and artifacts. We took an excursion to an active glacier nearby and even saw icebergs "calving". Picking berries next to the house was so much fun. Had them on cereal and baked a pie. The great thing is the location of the house, on a hill with spectacular views. You feel as if you are in the forest, but you are close to everything you might need. My wife and kids wanted to stay all summer. Maybe next time.
