Description

West Yarmouth House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8) close to beach and town. Dog friendly.

Are you ready to pack your bags, hit the road, cross the Canal and RELAX on the Cape? Don’t pack too much – our home is ready to welcome you with all of the amenities to make you getaways as worry free as possible. From linens to beach chairs, towels to beach toys, spices to high chair, it’s all here, so you don’t have to think about it. And there is no extra cost – the rates are all inclusive for the human part of the family (dogs are slightly extra).

Bayview Getaway is child friendly, dog friendly, family friendly and in general, very friendly property that would love to host you this year. We are located on a quiet dead end street, just 5 minute walk to Bayview beach on Lewis Bay. It’s also easy to walk to great restaurants with marina views, hit the ferries to the charming Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard without a thought about fighting for the (expensive) parking spot, walk the kids to a mini-golf or just unwind with a book in the shady backyard.

See our website for extensive details and photos!

For the beach explorer, we provide a free beach parking pass for Barnstable beaches. There are large and small beaches, beaches to keep teens happy (yes, they do exist), beaches perfect for small kids, beaches for windsurfing daredevils, all within 10-15 minute drive.

For families with young children, we have a pack-n-play and booster chair on hand and can provide several other baby paraphernalia on request.

Our home is set up for comfort and flexibility – there are 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and one of the upper floor bedrooms also includes 2 twin beds. All bedrooms are equipped with A/C units to keep you comfortable.

The downstairs floor includes an extra spacious bedroom with a sitting area and an entertainment center. There is a full bath, well equipped kitchen with modern appliances and granite countertops, a living/dining room area comfortably sitting 6-8.

Upstairs floor has 2 bedrooms (queen bed in each, and 2 twin beds in one of the two bedrooms) and a full bath with a shower.

Entertainment consists of a 42” flat screen TV with streaming video and cable, DVD player, Playstation, books and games.

Outside there is a porch with sitting for 6, a grill stocked with propane, a large yard with a swing and a sense of peace and tranquility that is hard to come by. The house is a last one on a dead end street, and the street backs into the conservation area, so you will see bunnies in the yard in the twilight hours. Better warn the dog! :)

While Bayview Getaway is situated in a secluded and serene setting, away from hustle and bustle of the town, it's within a walking distance (less than 1 mile) to the spirited Main St. in Hyannis - home to the Kennedy Museum, numerous restaurants, ice cream parlors, bookshops, boutiques, a carousel, and family amusement centers.

Enjoy Thursday night parade or listen to live music in one of the pubs. Take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket, catch a whale-watching cruise out of Barnstable Harbor, a deep sea fishing expedition from Hyannis, take a drive along Old King's Highway and do a little antiquing, catch a game of golf at any of the nearby golf courses or just enjoy the sea breeze in the backyard.

'What a wonderful place! My boyfriend and I had two other couples join us for a 'Fall Getaway'. We spent a fair amount of time at the house. We enjoyed the very well equipped kitchen, cooking 'comfort food' for the gang. The TV has plenty of channels and we enjoyed doing a puzzle on the coffee table. I brought wine classes and martini glasses, but didn't need them as the house came 'fully equipped! The linens and towels are high quality and luxurious while the home is comfortable and welcoming. We can't wait to come back!' says a group of friends who enjoyed a fall getaway at our home.

'The house was well appointed and comfortable. I especially liked having linens and basic necessities supplied. The house is well located for long walks to the Hyannis beaches, downtown Hyannis and through the West Yarmouth neighborhood. It's also within walking distance of the island ferries and is a nice central location for exploring the rest of Cape Cod by car. The resident beach pass provided made exploring all of the Barnstable beaches trouble free.' says a guest from Maryland.

'Bayview Getaway was the best cottage I have ever rented. It came with everything you could possibly need and was a terrific location for hoping on the Ferrys for Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket and a short drive to all the cute towns to shop. Minutes from Hyannis.'- say our guests who chose Bayview Getaway for a girls week away.

'Thank you so much for the use of your house in Cape Cod. It was perfect. Enough space for everyone not to get on each other's nerves, a great deck where we took our meals daily, AMERICAN TV (if you don't live outside of America you don't know how exciting this can be), deck chairs that sit in the sand at sea shelled beaches, resident pass for Barnstable Beaches, quiet evening walks to the water down the street, watching the ferries to and fro from the Islands, bunny rabbits that welcome you when you arrive, A/C, an incredibly well stacked kitchen with so many things that I now want to get, and just a wonderful place filled with beautiful things that we were able to call home for a week. It was the perfect family vacation.' said our Canadian guests.

About Lillian Kasparov

We are Julia and Chuck, and we have owned and operated our 3 Cape Cod vacation homes since 2004. We live just outside of Boston with our daughter, Lili and our lab mix, Hamilton. We spend a lot of time traveling, in New England, across US and abroad and we love staying in homes and apartments instead of hotels!

Lillian Kasparov purchased this house in 2005

Why Lillian Kasparov chose Yarmouth

Cape Cod has such a unique appeal and so many towns have gorgeous beaches, wonderful parks, trails, restaurants and more. We chose to settle in the mid-Cape area, especially around Hyannis, because we love all of the entertainment options Hyannis area has to offer, in addition to beautiful beaches.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Julia and Chuck,

We had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed staying at your lovely home. Great location, close to the beach but also nice being on a dead end street for the kids and our dog. We had near perfect weather the whole week and spent much of it at the beach. Our favorite is Corporation beach in Dennis. The kids swam, built sandcastles, and caught crabs while our dog ran the length of the beach, chasing birds, swimming in the surf and saying "hello" to the other dogs.

Other highlights include Pirate's Cove mini-golf, Zooquarium, trip to P-town and Captain Parker's famous cam chowder. Thanks for helping make this vacation so memorable!

Lovely well maintained home

  • 4 of 5

The property was well maintained, clean and comfortable. It is centrally located and easy to get around the Cape. We had easy drives to local beaches, the National Seashore and Provincetown. The house had all the amenities we would expect and a few we were pleasantly surprised to find, as well. There was a binder containing information on the area, places of interest, beaches and restaurants. I would recommend this property to anyone, and look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful Stay at Bayview Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

My family just finished up our week at Bayview Retreat and we loved it! The house is well located for the beach, family activities, downtown Hyannis and the ferry. It is located at the end of a cul de sac so it is also very quiet. The kitchen is brand new, beautifully done and well stocked. It was so nice to have all the linens supplied. There was even soap in the bathrooms and laundry detergent in the basement! I would definitely recommend this home for families and couples alike. Thank you for sharing your home!

Wonderful home & location!

  • 5 of 5

We spent three delightful days on Cape Cod, enjoying this beautiful home. It has everything you could need for your stay--great kitchen, TV & cable, even beach towels provided. The home is in a perfect central location to explore all of the Cape, and is a delightful 5 min walk from the beach. The town of Hyannis was darling and every night we ate at another delicious restaurant right on Main Street. The shops were fabulous. We wished we had planned another couple of days for the area. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Wonderful Family Home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (2 adults and 2 children) stayed at the Bayview Getaway in August 2014. We found the home to be very comfortable for a family. The house was well appointed and lacked for no amenities! The newly remodeled kitchen had everything necessary for us to make whatever meal we chose. Two baths allowed us to have all the luxuries of home. They even provided shower caps, toothbrushes, hairdryers and anything we may have forgotten at home! We had only one rainy day at the Cape, but were able to spend it at "home" watching movies and playing games. We could not have been happier with the accommodations! We will be back in the future!

Perfect Vacation Rental!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I could not have been happier with this house rental! We were extremely surprised at just how much larger it was then we had expected. The access to the beach at the end of the road was ideal for the kids as was the yard. We spent every night taking a walk down to the water. It is a very quiet location and it was so well stocked with almost anything one may forget. This was absolutely a better alternative to a hotel and actually saved us money with being able to cook our meals. It was much more relaxing to not have four people cooped up in a hotel room. I will definitely rent again and truly can't wait for next summer!

Great MidCape Location, Ideal for visiting Islands

  • 4 of 5

The amenities of these Cape rental were wonderful, everything as described and very thoughtful appointments! The home, kitchen, deck & lawn were very clean and comfortable. Julia was extremely responsive and organized and a pleasure to coordinate our vacation with. A great location if you want to have a low key vacation with a variety of experiences.

Our favorite activities during our visit were:

-walking to nearby "Dockside" restaurant and dining on the patio overlooking harbor.

-exploring the National Seashore beaches with our dog

-watching windsurfers in the late afternoon at Kalmus Beach

-bike riding to Hyannisport neighborhoods

-parasailing out of "Red Jacket Beach Resort"

-window shopping & JFK museum in Hyannis

-WALKING to Ferry for Martha's Vineyard excursion

Owner's Response: So glad that you enjoyed the house and the location! Agree that the central but quiet spot and walkability of the neighborhood is a big draw, no need to pay for the expensive parking at the ferry terminal or drive to restaurants or summer concerts if you are not inclined. Makes it easier with kids too - no need to constantly get in and out car seats, and older teens can have a little independence walking to Main St or around the harbor and its park. Thank you for your kind words about our amenities and the process - we try to support our guests before, during and after stay and help answer questions or resolve issues if any arise as quickly as may be possible. It's wonderful that you enjoyed your stay and found Bayview Getaway a perfect spot for your family vacation - thank you giving us an opportunity to share our home with you!
