Slip Cottage is a wonderful family holiday house with a private parking space and a great village location. With three floors and four bedrooms this house offers flexible accommodation for larger families but is also intimate enough for couples.

The whole of the ground floor is occupied by the living area, this social space includes a luxury kitchen complete with AGA, electric oven, granite worktops and a dishwasher. The wooden floor flows into the dining area with seating for 6 while the rear of the house has a flat screen TV with DVD player and plenty of comfortable seating. WiFi, a stereo and an Ipod dock add to the entertainment in this family room.

In the warmer months the French doors can be opened to “bring the outside in” and enjoy the glorious enclosed garden, filled with a variety of plants. Outdoor furniture and a summer house and a BBQ mean every inch of this space can be used. A utility room at the rear of the garden contains the washing machine and tumble dryer along with a handy WC and sink.

The first floor of the cottage contains one twin bedroom and two single bedrooms – quality bedding is provided. This floor also has a family bathroom with WC, sink and bath and shower over.

The second floor of the house is occupied by the master suite – a super king beds provides the ideal retreat from the children below and the en-suite, decorated in a modern nautical theme, has a WC, sink and shower.

There is a dedicated off-road parking space at the rear of the cottage. Guests are advised that the access to the space is via a driveway that runs between neighbouring properties, and although we regularly negotiate this with our own large SUV, less confident drivers may find the access difficult if they have a particularly large vehicle.

Slip Cottage is a dog friendly property .

Fabulous house. Clean warm and very welcoming and well equipped with everything you need. Flushing is a lovely village with two pub/restaurants a minutes walk away.

We will most definitely book to stay here again. 5*****

Flushing is one known to be one of the warmest villages in the UK because it has an idyllic sheltered south-facing aspect. It has quiet streets lined with traditional terraced fisherman’s cottages, and beautiful unspoilt surrounding countryside.

Many Cornish villages have become over crowded with tourists, but Flushing is much quieter, even during peak season, and it still benefits from a strong and vibrant community.

Flushing has two pubs a stunning seafood restaurant located on the quayside, plus a friendly well-stocked general store. It also has a Sailing Club that welcomes guests, and it’s own beach.

A passenger ferry runs a regular service between Flushing and Falmouth. It also connects with the ferries to St Mawes, Mylor, Trelissick and Truro. In summer the Fal River boats offer trips to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan, and onwards to Truro. A local water taxi service also runs around the bay.
