“How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains!”

The Tree House sleeps up to 13 total, 2 in the Master Bedroom with a king-size bed, 4 in two queens which are located in two separate bedrooms, 3 in one bunk bed (twin over full) located in the bedroom/gameroom, 2 in one bunk bed (twin over twin), located in an alcove, and 2 in a sleeper sofa. The house has large casement windows and wrap-around decks, for enjoying the breathtaking views. There are solid wood, 6 panel doors throughout. A jetted tub is available to lounge in. There is a private, covered, outdoor hot tub to relax in after a fun-filled day in the mountains. The most outstanding amenity is the awesome mountain views (refer to photo # 11 as an example which displays the structure known as 'La Ventana Espanol' - The Spanish Window), which appears to be only a small slit in the distant mountain, but is in fact a vertical drop of over a thousand feet.

Pagosa Springs is a mountain community in Southwest Colorado, offering 320 days of sunshine a year, beautiful scenery including mountains, lakes and waterfalls, lots of outdoor recreation, winter sports and much more.

There is much to do to keep busy. The TREE HOUSE is located just a short walk away from a pristine lake stocked with trout and bass. When you are finished soaking in the on-site hot tub, you can try the famous hot springs in Pagosa. An abundance of outdoor activities make Pagosa Springs a nature lover's paradise. Lake species include rainbow trout, brown trout, largemouth bass, perch and others. From the huge deck, there is a greater than 180' view of mountains, and a telescope (with stand) is provided for better viewing.

River fishing is available in town on the San Juan River. The quality waters of the San Juan below Navajo Lake is world renowned for the incredible trout fly fishing. Trophy hunting is available in the San Juans. Wolf Creek Ski area boasts the most snow in Colorado, with an average of over 600 inches per year!

Come play in the mountains and stay in the middle of it all in Pagosa Springs. The Wolf Creek Ski Area is about 20 miles away and the main roads are always kept clean. This ski area gets more snow than any other ski area in Colorado, on average. You will not want to leave!

Features include satellite, and three HDTVs. The following are also provided:DVD player, CD player, ping pong table, full kitchen, microwave, dishwasher and large refrigerator. All cooking utensils and dishes are provided in a gourmet kitchen. This is a chef's dream for a vacation home. Bedding and linens are provided. An oversize washer and dryer is also available for your convenience.

With its large bedroom/gameroom, which sleeps 3, it offers the perfect 'get away' spot for kids of all ages. The house, with 3200 SF approximately, is suitable for a family reunion, and with 3 acres there is plenty of room to stretch. It is also ideal for a romantic getaway, with its gourmet kitchen, dining table near the fireplace where a nice meal can be followed by a visit to the on-site hot tub, and capped off with a leisurely viewing of the mountain and alpen glow at sunset on the large wrap-around deck.

Best ever!

  • 5 of 5

We have been staying in VRBO homes for at least 15 years. This was the best experience yet! Could have spent the whole time just on the deck with the view. But one of the best parts of VRBO homes, is being able to stay in and eat at home. By far the nicest, most completely appointed kitchen ever... with quality items. The house was spotless and Natalie was so easy to deal with that we are looking into their other properties. Thanks so much for a much needed break from life!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in the treehouse. It is just south of Pagosa about 5 minutes. The treehouse offers wonderful views, great outdoor seating and entertaining, a hot tubs that was very well maintained , ample space indoors and wonderful atmosphere. There is plenty of room for parking and the lot is quite large. There is a fence to the property for added safety and great if you have pets. The owners and caretakers are very professional and responsive.

Great cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house it has everything that you could possibly need. The only thing that I could ask for is a gas propane grill to make it perfect instead of charcoal. Everything else is great!

Owner's Response: Carlos, We are so pleased you enjoyed our house. It is a good idea to keep a propane grill in addition to a charcoal grill. We will look into purchasing one. You were a great guest and we look forward to your next visit!

Wonderful escape!

  • 4 of 5

My family of 4 and another family of 5 enjoyed a week at the Treehouse. I was worried that the views wouldn't be quite as they had been described because of the location of the house (south of the mountains), but I was pleasantly surprised by the glorious views from the deck. The house was very clean, and we even got to meet the cleaning staff who were very sweet. The kitchen was awesome. I think the only thing we found to be missing was a potato masher! Otherwise, amazing appliances and beautiful new refrigerator.

This was an ideal home for two families. We all had plenty of space to relax and have fun. One thing that surprised me upstairs was that the master bedroom is NOT connected to the master bath. You have to walk out through the living room area to get to the bathroom which was a bit problematic at times because we were with another family who was spending time in that area. In the morning, I had to wait until no one was in that area to come out from the shower because I was keeping my clothing in the bedroom. There is a nice big walk-in closet in the bathroom, but it had an odor - not sure if it was from cleaning supplies or what - but I didn't want my clothing to smell like that. The overall issue wasn't a deal breaker by any means, but it would have been nice to know about it ahead of time. I would have brought a robe.

The deck is amazing, but it could use an overhaul at some point. It's seen better days, but is still functional. Be careful on the main steps. The railing is a little shaky. It was nice to have so many seating options out there though! We spent a lot of time out here and saw fox, deer, squirrels and lots of birds (woodpeckers and hummingbirds).

Downstairs was cool for the kids. We couldn't ever hear them down there which was nice at times. There is a nice electric piano (Clarinova), but it would have been great to have some sheet music to play! That's not something I typically bring along with me when I travel, so we were playing whatever we could remember by heart. The game table was fun. I think it would be nice to get some updated books/games/puzzles. The ones there were pretty dated.

My other suggestion to Natalie (who is AWESOME to work with!!!) was new sheets for the beds. The ones on the king in the MBR were worn with small holes and didn't fit well. But the bed was super comfy! There is no A/C at all and it was 90 all week, but we had fans and kept shades closed.

Bottom line, we would go there again!

Owner's Response: Jenae, Thank you so much for your honest feedback. This is immensely helpful! We rely on our guests to let us know of any issues that may arise. In light of your review, we will be purchasing sheet music, new games and new sheets for the master bedroom. I'll have our maintenance crew look at the deck. When we were last there in May, we did quite a bit of repair and did not find it to be shaky, but again, we will definately have it checked out. Housekeeping did check out the walk in closet and reported no smell but I will definately follow up with future guests to make sure this is not a reoccuring issue. I'm so pleased you found the views to be accurate and glorious! The kids room is quite nice as it provides a much needed break for parents. We hope you return again. You were a great guest and we sincerely appreciate all of your feedback:)

Great for larger groups!

  • 5 of 5

The Tree House is wonderful and so is Natalie! We had a group of 14 - plenty of space, never felt cramped. Huge deck was great for morning coffee and family dinners. Kitchen is very well stocked- can't think of anything it didn't have. Natalie was very quick to get back to me with any questions I had, she is very easy to work with. The house is less then 10 min from Pagosa. Very quiet neighborhood off of Highway 84. Thanks for the great memories, Tree House!

Awesome time at Treehouse in Pagosa Springs

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome place to stay, especially with large group of people. My family and our friends stayed the first week of June in the Treehouse. This was our friends' first time to Treehouse & Colorado. They walked in the door & liked the layout, decor and basically everything about the house. The house was clean, well maintained, owners very easy to deal with. With a total of 10 people, adults (old & young) and a 6 yr old, we had plenty of room. Common area (kitchen, dining area) was big enough that we were able to move around with ease. The bedrooms, were very accommodating and had room for everyone to spread out. With 7 females and 3 males, the 3 bathrooms were plenty. The view is awesome when looking out any window or sitting on the deck. We were lucky enough to see deer walk right past the property fence every morning (if up early enough) and every night. The birds were great to see and hear everyday. There is plenty of towels and sheets. With the huge washer/dryer, you could wash if you ran out (we never did). We used the hot tub a couple of nights and what a great way to relax after hiking, riding in car or riding horses. It felt the best after our 2 day drive (25 hrs, 1560 miles) to Colorado.

Speaking of driving there - we used the address and Google maps which lead us right to the gate. We used descriptions in write-up to verify Google Maps.

Coming from Georgia - my husband first looked for A/C - it was warm upstairs from being closed up a day or 2 before we arrived. Once we opened windows and let the breeze cool it down, it was comfortable (& from Georgia heat/humidity that is saying something). It was cooler downstairs (not as many windows in the direct sun). There is a couple of fans to help upstairs if you are like my husband and need to have the air constantly moving around you.

While there we enjoyed downtown Pagosa Springs, Durango, Mesa Verde and long day trip to Ouray & Silverton (there was road work so expect some delays). The 6 year old loved the horseback riding at Wilderness Wildlife park. She went 2 days - got same horse both days. This was her first time riding totally by herself (no one hold lead rope or walking her). She had the best time. The 2 guides were awesome with her and safety was number 1. They both chose to ride sideways in saddle so they could keep close eye on her while watching the trail. I would recommend this place for beginners or young children.
