Beachfront: Newly remodeled and upgraded during the winter of 2012/2013. Old Cape Cod meets the 21st Century. This well maintained, and newly remodeled Vintage Cape Cod beachfront cottage on Springhill Beach retains its old Cape Cod charm while providing all the amenities you are used to at home. Enjoy your own private beach with awesome views of Cape Cod Bay and the salt marsh. The distance to the water just depends on whether it is high tide or low tide, but the beach is always just out the front door.
Just completed during the winter of 2012/2013:
Newly remodeled existing bathroom
New doors and windows all around.
Refinished hardwood floors throughout the house
''Sandwiched'' between the beach and the salt marsh, the house includes 4 comfortable, ''actual'' bedrooms with doors. 3 of the bedrooms have double beds and one has a Queen size bed. 1 1/2 baths and an outdoor shower as well.
Wireless internet, three cable TV's, Stereo system. IPod dock. Comfortable living room of about 400 square feet with refinished hardwood floors and three full sized sofas (one is a sofa-bed). Walk-around stone fireplace and beautiful original beadboard wood paneling throughout, providing that ''Old Cape Cod'' atmosphere while blending with the modern. The newly remodeled kitchen provides all the amenities. Washer and dryer conveniently located. A second newly remodeled bathroom as well. New outdoor shower added.
The lot next door has been dedicated to the Sandwich Conservation Society so there is no one right on top of you and you get plenty of that morning sunshine as well as breathtaking sunsets. Enjoy our dune deck overlooking the beach and have a barbecue. Don't forget to bring your fishing poles and beach toys.

We're too shy for this. We're just a couple of school teachers.. But we are easy to talk to.
Eileen or Wally purchased this house in 1935
This house was built by my father and grandfather and it has been in the family ever since. It is still home to us.
There is simply no prettier place on earth than Cape Cod in the summer. We have the beach, the salt marsh, peace and quiet, and friendly people staying all up and down the beach. Just a little bit of heaven right here on earth.
I had the honor of renting "Sweet Sixteen" over the entire winter. One would think that staying at a beach house over a cape cod winter would not be very enjoyable, but I had a blast.
This home has a great vibe to it, the living room is situated in such a manner as the fireplace is front and center and with plenty of gather around room, the walls are covered in very tasteful paneling and great aquatic art work. I love that there are windows all around!
The house is situated on the beach but also affords incredible views of the marsh, the marsh also is an inlet from the bay and is great for launching kayaks.
There is a deck right on a berm overlooking the beach and all of Cape Cod bay, you can even see the Pilgrim monument in P-town and the cape as it winds around the bay.
As one winds down the bumpy dirt road further and further down a path, you suddenly pop out in a sunny row of beach houses-how relaxing is that!? You feel as if you are far from everything but are actually just minutes from Sandwich and back over the bridge...
Great place, great location, Eileen and Wally are just really good people!
Can"t wait to go back!
We just loved staying here! It is a true Old style Cape Cod cottage. It is a house not afraid of a little sand on the floor. Close to the ocean, lots of room for 4 couples (one with a baby that brought a pack and play) teenager on the pullout couch. You could get away from each other easily. We loved the fireplace in the main room and open layout . The bedrooms have plenty of room. There are 1 1/2 bathrooms inside and a great outdoor shower! The kitchen is well stocked with everything one could possibly need for cooking. On the down side, I would suggest a few new mattresses by second night ended up with a very sore back. There were a few issues not the fault of the owners since they live out of state. The cleaning people did a bad job of cleaning, cobwebs, open box of cereal left on table... Dish washer door was broken so slammed down on someone foot and the coffee pot was cracked I assume from a previous renter, and be aware there is septic we had an issue but the owners took care of it right away! There is a deck about 20 steps from the house with a table and chairs and huge views of the beach and Cape Cod Bay. We would recommend staying here and plan on a return trip as the positive outweighed any negative. Just a great location can't be beat!
We just spent a great week at this lovely cottage. It has the charm and design of an early beach cottage but with modern conveniences and updates. The four bedrooms are a rarity in rental property on this beach. We had a 2 married couples and a 4 month old and a single. It was the perfect setting for all of us. The bath and a 1/2 bath and the outside shower were greatly appreciated. The deck is great for watching the surf and the beach is lovely and quiet. The location is very private and quiet. The cottage had everything we needed including the luxury of a dishwasher and washer/dryer. That was very handy with a baby in residence. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful week at this lovely Cape Cod Beach house. Although an older home, it has all of the rustic charm you would expect at the Cape. The private beach right off the back deck was wonderful. The house is located so that you feel you are in a private setting, unlike many other Cape beach houses. It was an extremely comfortable and relaxed stay and we plan to come back next year!
We recently stayed at this rental. There were 9 people there at one point and it had plenty of space for everyone. Parking was great too. The deck overlooking the ocean was beautiful, the umbrella was nice it kept us cool while we were still able to enjoy the ocean breeze and views. It was very private and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the outdoor shower had hot water The owners were good to work with The property was clean except the kitchen drawers could use a little "tidying up" Overall, we all had a great time. We are very familiar with the Sandwich area and were happy to be back..
We were very excited for our vacation and for the most part it was wonderful, but that was our doing. We loved the area, very quiet and private but we had some issues that were big to us. The beach is very very rocky, no fault of the owners obviously, but nonetheless. Also, the house was not really clean. I know the owners again aren't at fault because there is a cleaning service but it was really bad. And old bad, cobwebby, the bathroom shower floor was just gross. The cleaning people were still there when we arrived (at 3:00) so we know there were there, just not sure what they did. The kitchen light didn't work either, the handyman was there and changed the bulb but realized it wasn't that, someone had pulled the pull chain off, he said they would need an electrician. We assumed that meant he would contact the owners but we never had anyone come, so I suppose we should have. We had to bring in a lamp from the other room. The house gets sandy which is understandable do to the area, every door has sand outside so it really can't be helped. Its just an old cottage, which I love, but with alot of bruises, cracks and bumps. I emailed the owners after our return home because I know I would want to know if the people I were paying weren't doing their job. I haven't received a response from them which I suppose didn't require one, but....Anyway, great vacation because we made it that way, but truly, not worth the money. Sorry folks!
Just a sidenote, I asked about an outdoor shower when we were considering staying there and they told me they were having one built and it would hopefully be done in July...no sign of one.
On beautiful Cape Cod Bay about 1 mile by boat from the Cape Cod Canal. Situated on the beach with the salt marsh directly across the gravel road. This stretch of beach is populated by private beach cottages and no commercial structures. All the beaches are private including this one.
