Why Reservation Manager chose Rochechouart
The 9th Arrondissement is the real Paris. Full of lively neighborhood activity, this is not tourist Paris, but an area steeped in history and alive with culture. Yet, in a few short subway rides, one can visit all the great sites of Paris.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is in a classic Haussmanian Parisian building with all the Paris charm. However, most experienced travelers will appreciate that this apartment comes equipped with all the modern conveniences - full kitchen with all cookware, large bedrooms, corner building location, elevator, newly refinished french antiques and custom furniture. It is in a very safe area surrounded by all the great Parisian restaurants, boulangeries, patisseries, wine shops, weekly markets, etc.

A Perfect Home in Paris
We stayed for full month during April/May 2019. The apt was in a perfect location, just a short block to Anvers Metro, 10 minutes walk to Gare du Nord, a block to the 85 bus into the Louvre area, and the Friday open-air market just steps away. There were MANY restaurants, boulangeries, bistros, and grocery markets nearby. Really, eveything we could want within steps or a short Metro ride. The apt was perfect for us. The appliances all worked well and the kitchen was large enough for food storage and two people to cook/clean. We had another couple visit for a week and there was plenty of room to spread out and not be in each other's way. 75 meters is a LOT of apt in Paris! We have stayed twice before in other apts and this one was by far the best. The beds were comfy, the TV was good, wifi good, even a good choice of English-language DVDs to watch. Highly recommend this apt!! Paula and Georgina, our two contacts in Paris for the apt, could not have been more friendly and professional. They assisted us promptly if needed, installing a new lamp and a grab bar for the shower before our elder guests arrived. Many thanks to them both!
Great stay but Bad Communication
I was originally impressed with the level of communication with Paula leading up to the stay. However upon arrival we were greeted with major painting and renovations going on in the hallways. We were traveling with our elderly mothers and young daughter so the trip hazards around hallways, the elevator being in and out of order were not welcomed since we were on the fourth floor of the building. We also had an issue with a leak under the kitchen sink and I never received a phone call or email back to my inquiry about the leak.
Besides that the apartment was lovely and did a good job fitting our family of 5. The kitchen was in good working order (besides the leak) which allowed us to buy groceries and cook. It helped us feel very immersed in the culture and neighborhood.
The neighborhood was great with plenty of access to food, shopping and transportation.
I would have given this 5 stars if it weren’t for the renovations and bad communication about what was going on prior to our arrival. That was very frustrating but we made the best of it.
Great location, comfortable, spacious, and welcoming! Good for families.
We stayed for a week with our two small children. The apartment was clean, convenient, and well-equipped with everything we needed. to get started. There were even some of the basics in the kitchen when we arrived including, dish soap, laundry tablets, coffee, oils, vinegars and spices. Washer/dryer combo worked well and there was plenty of hot water for showers (although you can't do dishes/laundry at the same time as showering, but that's kinda to be expected in a Parisian apartment). There were toys and games for kids and a dvd player with some movies. Beds were comfy and the heat worked well, although we had unseasonable warm Feb. weather for Paris.
It's conveniently located a short walking distance from 3 different metro lines ( 2, 4, 12) and the funiculaire. There's a park about a block away that's great for small children. Great restaurants and cafés right nearby and also a short walk up the hill to Sacré coeur area and Montmartre. There are two grocery stores within walking distance (a Franprix less than two blocks away) and a Carrefour market up the hill. Two good bakeries also about a block or so away. Go to Panifica on Ave Trudaine! They have amazing bread and viennoiseries.
Paula and her welcome team were really nice and helpful before and during our stay. We didn't really need anything in particular, but they were available and easy to communicate with. They helped us find a car service (Citizen Limousine) for getting to and from the airport. We would definitely stay again!
Awesome apartment in Perfect Location
This place is absolutely charming and in a great location. Closest Metro stop is Anvers which is like a block away. 5 minute walks, tops. The Sacre Coeur tram is only another 5 minutes away as well. Great place to base yourself in Paris as everything is just 15-20 minutes away by train. The neighborhood itself is really hip with cool new spots all around but seems like a place that is really popular with young families. The restaurant right downstairs from the property has really good food in a casual setting. It's also an easy spot to grab a coffee and some pastries as well. At the end of the block there is a full on bakery which we hit up most days when we were heading out to do our touristy stuff.
As for the apartment itself, it was perfect for us and our two kids (9 and 11yo.) Comfy beds and the rooms were all nicely sized.
Everything is really clean and nice and the way it's arranged and decorated makes it feel very homey. Plus they had lots of convenient stuff like a hair dryer, multiple outlet adapters and a big library of Paris guide books and DVDs.
Would highly recommend and looking forward to staying there again on our next trip!
Lovely Paris Apt
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apt which provided proximity to so many charming aspects of Montemarte. The apt was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was just as described and the check in process was smooth and very informative. We loved the cafe downstairs and Friday's market was an absolute treat! We appreciated all the helpful information about the neighborhood and the great library of travel books! Plenty of wonderful shops and cafes within easy walking distance and very convenient to Eurostar, subway and buses. Thank you for sharing this lovely space with us! We hope to return soon.
Gorgeous, comfortable, welcoming - we didn't want to leave!
I can't say enough good things about our experience with this apartment. Paula was a great communicator, giving detailed info and responding promptly to questions. Georgina was charming and very helpful as she met us at the apartment on time and gave us the tour. Location was extremely convenient, with shopping and metro stations very close; it's also a very safe area. The building has two codes to get indoors, adding to the sense of perfect safety. And this place is outstanding! My two teenage sons and I felt at home immediately. Warm, attractive decor with quirky touches; kitchen with everything one could need; immaculate linens and blissful mattresses; fans in each room to help dim minimal street noise at night; bookshelf full of books in English; DVDs; board games; a guest book with thorough info on the apartment and neighborhood; lots of maps, guide books, suggestions for touring...and more. (Most unusual for European wash/dry combos, the one here actually gets your clothes dry.) This space has been thoughtfully planned with the highest priority on guest comfort. A perfect haven after long days of touring. I highly recommend staying here!
Various open-air markets with organic vegetables, produce, meats and cheeses, including one only 100 meters away. Three metro stops and 4 bus lines with direct access to all major tourist attractions (Louvre, Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay, and many others)
