Guestbook comments from the owner

It's been a very fun and relaxing holiday here and we've really, really enjoyed it. Your home is so well stocked and cozy and in such a beautiful spot. So quiet and peaceful! I will miss my tea on the dock or the porch every morning! We loved our time at your home.

Clean and well-appointed comfortable property

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at this property. Lisa and John are gracious and very responsive. The house is clean and has everything you need for cooking. The beds are comfortable and the house has nice zoned temperature control, and we love the fireplace! This trip included 2 families (2 couples with 5 children ranging in age from 5-14 and two medium-sized dogs.) We had plenty of room to spread out and to eat at the dining table, etc. We look forward to returning sometime! Hopefully in the summer so we can take advantage of all the other fun things this property offers.

Beautiful property and view!

  • 5 of 5

This is a review I meant to submit 2 years ago - it didn't go through correctly which I realized as I eagerly booked our next stay at this wonderful spot. Looking forward to it!

Here is the review from our last stay: "We had 6 adults and 2 kids sleep very comfortably in this beautiful property. The views are just incredible, the kitchen was very well-stocked with supplies (we cook a lot) and there were two comfortable sitting areas to read and relax (one with a fireplace.) We had a great 4 days there for our family get away and hope to return again! Lisa was wonderful to work with and very responsive. The Chesapeake Maritime Museum is well worth a visit!"

Charming and Beautiful Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

A group of friends and I have spent 3 days in this waterfront house at the beginning of September. The house has beautiful and tranquil view of the water from every room. the view of sunrise and sunset over the bay is really breath-taking. The house was decorated in tasteful way: charming and relaxing. It's exactly what we are looking for a vacation home. We had a great time. Crab is in the season at the time and we caught two dozen of crabs from the dock in the backyard, it was really fun. The owner (Lisa) is very accommodating. She had provided a lot of details ahead of time, and made herself available when we have questions. I'd love to go back there again with my family.

Exceeded our expectations!!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about Cranford on Miles far exceeded our expectations. The description on VRBO was very accurate from the gourmet kitchen to the "every room with a water view". The house is perfectly located to St. Michael's town (2 miles) and all the comforts of home (Easton). We found ourselves wanting to spend more time at the home than in town - so that is exactly what we did! The homeowners could not be more accommodating, responsive and an overall joy to work with. We are now thinking this could be our new annual family vacation spot. All that read this...sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Exceeded Our Expectations

  • 5 of 5

The description of Cranford-on-Miles is accurate - and understated, in my view. Every aspect of our visit exceeded our expectations. The house is beautiful, the setting spectacular and the owner, Lisa, provided superb customer service. The only problem: our stay was too short! We had a couple of days...Would love to return again for a longer visit.

Five of us (two couples and a single adult) visited during an unusually cool and partly cloudy/showery period in early May. Our son just graduated from college in DC, and we were looking for some celebratory relaxation. The house had more than enough room for us all. The balconies off the second floor, the Adirondack chairs on the lawn and the bench at the end of the dock were wonderful private spots for watching the river and wildlife, reading, relaxing and quiet chats. The layout of the first floor (the open kitchen, dining room, living room, and screened in porch) was perfect for celebrating. I loved the CD collection - eclectic musical choices! The kitchen is incredibly well -appointed. Everything we needed in terms of utensils and appliances.

The weather did not cooperate, so we did not avail ourselves of the kayaks. And though we rented bikes, we did not use them. But, next trip - both those activities will be on the agenda! St. Michael's is close by. Charming town - and quiet during our mid-week visit. We had a nice dinner at Theo's - the bartender and waitress were welcoming. The surrounding area is beautiful. And we recommend a visit to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. The volunteer boat-builders gave us great insight to the history and culture of the area.

Bottom line: I highly recommend Cranford-on-Miles. Perfect getaway. Thanks again, Lisa!
