Wonderful week on Locke Lake

  • 5 of 5

Each summer my family rents a waterfront property in a new location. This house was one of our favorites with lots of room for six adults. The house was clean, well maintained and stocked with all the necessities for cooking our meals and doing laundry. The sandy beach with gradual entry and clean water for swimming was a delight. We saw lots of ducks, two herons and a mink that loved to swim across the lake. It was our first stay in an association property which had quiet hours that we appreciated and also a small golf course to practice our driving skills. It was not manicured to allow for accurate putting, but it provided an activity that we enjoyed.

I commend Sue for sharing her lovely property with us and seeing that all our needs were met. It is certainly a rental that we will recommend to friends in the future.

Very clean, well equipped.

  • 4 of 5

This is a very clean, well equipped rental. The beach is nice and great for small children. We really enjoyed the fire pit. It was also good there is an air conditioner in the main area of the house as it was very hot and humid the week we were there. We were disappointed that for a 24 hour period we had to stay out of the lake as they were putting in chemicals to kill the milfoil. Obviously the owners had no control over this so we don't blame them for that! I would want to avoid that week next time if there is any way of knowing when it is going to happen.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your vacation! Regarding the Milfoil treatment, unfortunately we only get an approximate date of treatment from the State. I will say that this is the first time in several years that they treated at our beach. Swimming is prohibited for 24 hours within 200 yards of a treatment area, so most years it does not effect us. Additionally, this is the first year that we have experience the treatment during the mid summer, it usually happens in June. Thanks again for your review, glad you brought up this issue. Sue

Wonderful Family Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Locke Lake cabin for two nights and it was wonderful! The cabin is right on Locke Lake with a great beach and dock and in such a beautiful area of NH. Our kids loved the game room and we all loved the screened in porch and large outdoor area. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great house with everything you could possibly need!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I were looking to get away for the weekend and found this gem. The house is situated on a nice, quiet lake and has everything you could possibly need, from essentials to entertainment. It has three spacious bedrooms, two full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, large living area upstairs, game room downstairs, sun room, deck, dock, great backyard, fire pit with plenty of fire wood, and kayaks available for rent. It's also a short drive to Lake Winnipesaukee, so there's still plenty to do. Or, you can just stay and enjoy the serenity of Locke Lake. We will definitely be back next year and may even bring the kids. Sue was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with.

Hard to imagine a summer of not renting this home!

  • 5 of 5

We love how accommodating and comfortable this home is. There is space for everyone to relax both indoors and outdoors. We've come back 3 years in a row and though we enjoy discovering new places, it's difficult to imagine a summer of not returning to this house. The water is clean and clear - with a sandy bottom for the first several yards. The lake is wonderful for swimming, floating, kayaking and fishing. We would definitely recommend this location to others!

Amazing Family Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

We were so impressed with this rental. It was quiet, clean and very nice. Pictures are exactly what the house looks like. The owner is very sweet and came to the house to rake the beach from the seaweed. Our 6 and 3 year old loved the playroom full of toys! The lake is clean and the beach was perfect for playing on. We fished everyday off the dock and the kids caught sunfish almost every time. We had a fire every night and just watched the sunsets from the dock. Overall, this house is a tremendous value and well worth the price. We will absolutely be coming back in future years. This was the best family vacation!
