If you are looking to get-a-way for a quiet retreat but close to amenities this is it! The cottage is within WALKING DISTANCE to Pinecrest Lake, a guarded heated swimming pool (open mid June to Labor Day), sandy beach and the marina where use of a pedal boat or canoe (including all sizes of life jackets) are available for no fee--just a signed waiver. Our family has shared many happy memories in the Poconos and wanted others to be able to have a wonderful time so we decided to share our home. I am a retired high school teacher and my husband was an Electrical Engineer from PECO and taught mathematics at Camden County College
Constance Rowell purchased this cottage in 2004
Beautiful private community with amenities. Our roads are private and the community management is phenomenal. They take care of the amenities, landscaping, roads, leaf and snow removal, trash from our home plus much more.
Owner operated successfully for 10 years and our goal is to have our guests feel as comfortable in our home as they do in theirs. This is a home away from home.
Our family (Parents and 3 college students) had a wonderful time in the Poconos with Constance's home serving as our home for the week. We enjoyed the community beach, canoeing, tennis, and walks all in available in the private community and through the home rental and a short walking distance from the home. Located in the Poconos and not too far away are whitewater rafting and Dorney Park amusement park.
The house was perfect with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and a great open living room/kitchen. There is also a deck with a grill which enabled us to grill a couple of times during the week. The house is well kept and and very comfortable. We appreciated the games, stereo and cable tv while we were in the house.
Constance was awesome to coordinate travel plans and was also very responsive to our questions about the area, community, and home. We definitely would rent this house again when we vacation in the Poconos. A great all around experience renting this home.
We had a great week at this house. We spent a lot of our time in the Pinecrest community, swimming in the pool and lake, canoeing, biking, fishing and playing tennis. It was perfect for our kids (ages 9 and 6), who could walk or bike to the lake or pool with us.
The house was very well-maintained and clean, and had plenty of room for us. It was great to have the deck for eating and hanging out outside. And the games and DVDs were also much appreciated.
The house is also centrally located. We went to Camelback for zip-lining, Jim Thorpe for rafting and Hickory Run State Park.
Finally, Constance was wonderful to deal with and extremely responsive to all our inquiries. We would definitely recommend this house to friends and stay there again.
We rented this home from Connie 2 years ago and we are back!
You can not go wrong renting this home because you are renting a home not a house. Everything in the home makes you feel welcome the moment you arrive. It’s on a cul de sac so the area is quiet and peaceful.
This year we made a last minute decision to go to the Poconos & were glad to see the dates open at Connie’s. She was very helpful & accommodating working with us even with the short notice we gave her.
This home is all one floor so it’s good for a disabled person (but there are 2 steps to get inside) and its quite roomy. There is a walkway to the home which is on an upward slant but it can be taken slowly. We did have our Mom with us last time (94 yrs old) and she loved it. The 3 bedrooms give you plenty of room; we only used the master bedroom but it’s not hard to imagine a child’s joy in seeing the Mickey Mouse bedroom with all it’s many Disney items.
The well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and the gated deck with a gas grill & furnishings add to your comfort as well as the air-conditioning (which we found many Pocono houses do not have). Many DVDs, Cds, board games, books and toys are there for your enjoyment. It was great to be able to have our dog with us. Feisty enjoyed his many walks to the lake and following several stone trails through the woods. This gave us some exercise too! An occasional chipmunk, squirrel, rabbit or deer would suddenly appear. The lake also supplied some fishing time & Connie has a canoe and pedal boat for your use.
Connie includes guest passes so you can make use of the large, beautiful pool and other amenities of the Country Club. We were too early for the pool but did look it over and it is beautiful.
The area has many things of interest: Catholic Church-5 min., Jubilee Restaurant-7 min., Mt Airy Casino-20 min., Tobyhanna Park-15 min., shopping & restaurants (Smuggler's Cove is great) in Tannersville area-20 min., Mt Pocono shops & restaurants-20 min. In Mt. Pocono we went to the quaint Casino Movie Theatre where your food was served to you at your seat!
We would recommend this home to almost anyone. It’s especially great if you like traveling with your dog and just want to relax in comfort.
To repeat what we said 2 years ago:
“Our best advice is if you want a nice HOME with a caring owner rent this HOME-you can't go wrong!!! Thanks again Connie for sharing your HOME with us!!”

A great place to get away; I vacationed here with my family and my sister's family. The house was very clean and was big enough to accommodate all of us. This is a very family friendly house, my niece loved the Mickey/Minnie Mouse room and there where baby toys and books for our little ones to play with. Connie was a pleasure to work with and very helpful and answers all questions in a timely manner.
We cannot wait to go back next year!
With the goal of having a restful weekend in the mountains, we rented Constance's home. It was amazing!
Our children and dog loved the little lake that was a short walk from the house and Sunday morning my wife and boys went out on the paddleboat for a leisurely trip around the lake.
The home was ideal for our family with space for the boys (who loved the Disney room), a grill, and fireplace. We had s'mores after a nice hike around Lake Tobyhanna.
Contance made the whole process very easy. She communicates very well and is incredibly organized (even emailing us updated directions to the house complete with pictures!). The house itself was bright, clean, and came with an information book for the area and the house.
It was a pleasure to spend the weekend at their home and we look forward to returning in the future.
My cousin family and I rented Constance house #123048 for a weekend of April 25 and we had a wonderful time. The home was lovely. The house was exactly as via the web photos. The rooms were spacious and clean. The Mickey Mouse children's room was beautiful for our kids. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a beautiful lake, and we had a great time using the boats. I definitely recommend this home to anyone, or any family that is looking to get away for the weekend. Constance was extremely responsive to all my questions and very helpful. She gave me info for our weekend activities. Our kids enjoyed a lot, we feel like our home and we'll back for sure.
