Great lake-view villa with the best internet connection in town
If you cross Gardone Alto Village, passing through Piazza Garibaldi, you will be caught by the charm of this tiny square surrounded by beautiful old houses decorated with colorful flowers. In this context is located “Villa Glicine”, a historical house that has been recently renovated by the owner, an architect that truly loves the Villa and reflects this feeling in every single detail. A few characteristics of this house would be enough to make you fall in love with it. First of all its position is very central, but at the same time privacy is guaranteed, indeed nobody from the outside can look into the courtyard and the windows placed towards the lake. Peace is also predominant as in front of the house you can only see a private park and, beynd it, the lake. The other strong point is the restoration, that has been done in a modern and tasteful style, but keeping at the same time the fas cination of this old building or actually, I would say, highlighting it. Those who appreciate art might be fascinated by some pieces displayed in the House: statues, paintings, pieces of furniture as well as several pictures taken by the Photographer Guido Albi Marini.
The House is equipped with every modern comfort: air-conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi connection, Jacuzzi hot tube, elevator, and the ktchen comes with a washing machine and dishwasher.
We are literally in love with Garda Lake, that’s why we decided to use only bio detergents that are produced 20 km far from here. We don’t only use these detergents, but we want you to use them.
In the house you will find detergent for dishwasher, hand washing soap, multipurpose degreaser, antiscaling, windows and dust cleaner, laundry detergent and softener.
Internet connection, included: Fibre Optic Cable up to 100 mega

We were here for a wedding. The accommodation is wonderful and Laura was helpful in all ways. The small village location is perfect if you just want to wander around and get to know the people local to the area. We felt completely at home and would return without hesitation. We held a pre-wedding party at the house and those who came loved experiencing time in an authentic Italian home.
Lovely Villa. Quaint little town.
The Villa had just about everything you needed. The outside space was private. But no sunbathing area.
Beautiful,well maintained,tastefully renovated.
We had a lovely holiday in this very special house. We loved being right next to shops and restaurants, yet the house was quiet and private. The rooms were beautifully done, comfortable and restful. We especially enjoyed meeting Laura and family, they were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely try to return.
Fabulous villa in a dreamy location
The villa was fab, and it's situation in a quite beautiful area up high in Gardone was perfect. Local shops and restaurants were only steps away and first rate. Overall, the villa and location exceeded our expectations. Thanks Laura too for your very friendly and professional help and advice on local attractions. We would unreservedly recommend this property and location.
Thank you very much for this review.
All the best,
Fantastic villa in a fairytale setting.
The website photos do not do justice to the villa as it is full of beautiful artefacts and breathtaking views. The village is like a set from a movie and is well equipped for everything you need, shops, restaurants ,a beautiful church and even a concert venue! We didn't have enough time to properly relax and enjoy it so would love to visit again. Laura was lovely and came to find us on arrival on her yellow moped! She also helped with insect repellent- thank you Laura!
Thank you so much, it was pleasure to meet you and I really hope that you will have the occasion to come back!
All the best,
Wonderful house in a wonderful town
Thank for a fantastic week. The house was wonderful, exactly as described and it suited our needs perfectly. The house was clean and well equipped, and with the current heat wave the a/c was was welcome addition. Everything was perfect from the restaurant owners who got to know us that they delivered food to our door to the fireworks over the lake.
Laura was fantastic and we would highly recommend this villa to anyone.
thank you very much for your nice review, I am very happy that you had anice time.
All the best,
Gardone thanks to the variety of it’s flora is called “the Garda Lake’s garden”. The liberty style of many villas create an exclusive atmosphere. The central position of this charming village grant a breathtaking view of the entire Lake Garda basin. In its quiet tiny square you will breath the typical atmosphere of the Italian village. Gardone is a center of tourist interest thanks to “Vittoriale degli Italiani”, last residence of the eclectic italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio. In the wide park sorrounding the house there is a open-air lake view theatre where important concerts are held during summer season. Very interesting as well is the Botanical Garden Heller. It is possible to do many sports and activities such as promenade in the village and excursion in the mountains, from which you will enjoy some wonderful views. Gardone and the closest town (Salò, Desenzano, Brescia) offer many restaurants, shops and nightclubs.
In between Gardone and Limone town there is “Riviera dei Limoni”, it was given this name due to its edge dotted with lemons garden. This “lemon path” cross many historical villages such as Toscolano-Maderno and Gargnano.
Gargnano has existed since the days of Rome. Therefore it is possible to visit a convent from the XII century and a church from the XIII century. We can admire prestigious villas and buildings, which have hosted Mussolini during the “Republic of Salò”.
The English writer D.H. Lawrence stayed in Gargnano for a long period. In many of his works we can find several marks of the landscape and the inhabitants of Gargnano and fractions.
Also very close to Gardone is Salò, which is a lively center with it’s beautiful shops, restaurants and caffès. Walking on the edge of the lake eating a tastefull ice-cream or having an aperitivo in its elegant caffes is a very relaxing activity.
From Gardone you can easily reach historical sites and cities like Verona (88 km), Mantova (110 km), Padova (165 km),Venezia (200 km), Milano (133 km).
