A blissful week.
Comfortable, well appointed and attractively furnished and decorated, just as described. Excellent customer service from Ali who went out of his way to be helpful. A bit further from the main lift going up than we had expected but closer skiing back with a delightful stop off at Florioz. (try their pizza) Quite expensive but I would definitely recommend it to a friend
Beautifully presented property just as depicted in the photographs. It had real alpine feel that was wonderful after a day's skiing it was almost as if we never left the mountain. Very convenient position close to the slopes and the apes ski bar. We were very well looked after with some delicious home cooked meals delivered while we were out.
Superbe appartement très bien situé
Appartement très bien adapté à deux familles avec 5 - 6 enfants. Grand espace de vie.Tout près des remontés mécaniques (100m à pied). A recommander.
Grimentz is one of the most beautiful and picturesque of the old Valaisan villages in the Val D’Anniviers.
The old pedestrianised cobbled Route de Village, which takes you from one end of the village to the other, is lined by traditional dark wooden chalets; adorned by multitudes of flower boxes packed with the traditional geraniums in the summer and covered by a thick blanket of crisp white snow in winter.
Grimentz is a delight in all seasons. An ever-growing home to winter sports enthusiasts, it offers some of the best off-piste skiing in Europe and plently of pisted slopes to enjoy, from beginners to advanced. Great scenery for winter walking and a good selection of other activités to suit all tastes. In summer, it is transformed to a delightful green haven with an abundance of mountain walks to suit all levels, mountain biking and other outdoor sports.
In between the main seasons, there is still much to enjoy in Grimentz and the surrounding villages of the Val d’Anniviers. Autumn brings stunning scenery - a rich tapestry of warm and vibrant colours which change almost daily between the end of summer and the first snow of the coming winter. Spring is a delight as the snows melt and the first wild mountain flowers emerge to the warm sunlight.
There is a new cable car opening (January 2014), and this will link Grimentz to the neighbouring resort of Zinal, resulting in over 100km of pistes and around 20 lifts. Skiing can also be enjoyed in St Luc, Chandolin and Vercorin, (included in your ski pass) - in total offering a fantastic 220km of pistes. There are free shuttle buses throughout the ski season to ferry you from one village to another if you wish to try out something different.
In winter, the apartment is less than a 3 minute walk from the main lifts, which will whisk you up either mountain in a matter of minutes. From there, there are plenty of uncrowded pistes to enjoy with something to suit all levels from beginner to advanced.
The apartment is also just a couple of minutes walk from bars, restaurants and shops, making it an ideal location.
Verbier is 90 minutes drive, and Crans Montana one hour
