About Dave Smulyan
I own and manage the Hideaway cabin, in fact I own the two cabins next door. I've lived in Idabel/Broken Bow area for 24 years, originally from Northern California. All the kids have grown, graduated college and live in different areas of the country. The grandkids are beginning to arrive so it makes an exciting time for the wife and I.
Dave Smulyan purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Dave Smulyan chose Broken Bow
The Hideaway cabin is large and spacious for only having one bedroom. The property it's on is in an older neighborhood so the cabins don't sit on top of each other. It's located near Hochatown, Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow Lake and the Lower Mt. Fork River for trout fishing. The cabin is just off the dam road and all roads leading are paved!
What makes this Cabin unique
The Hideaway cabin has wonderful decks on the front and back, the back deck is where the hot tub sits, the view is U.S. Forest service land, you see no other cabins, which means no other cabins see you, this is also where the BBQ grill is set up. The front deck is perfect for morning coffee, afternoon socializing or just hanging our listening to the birds!

Me and the girls had a Blast .. It was a much needed girls trip... We will definitely be back
The place was great ... we loved the fire pit and the hot tub. Very quiet peaceful ..
We had a lovely time at this cabin. Had everything we needed.
Our family of 7 (including one infant), plus one dog, enjoyed staying at the Hideaway. Check-in was easy. The cabin was clean and well supplied. Everything about the cabin was very comfortable. The location is great because we could easily get to the park and to Hotchatown.
Great cabin. Had everything we needed and more. Will be back
A Piece of Heaven
There is a part of me/us that doesn't want to leave a review and keep this spot a secret however, I think the secret is out. :D The property is in a great location (close to, but not on the main road), and close to Beavers Bend State Park. My wife and I needed time away where we could really disconnect from our everyday responsibilities and the Hideaway couldn't have been more perfect. So peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The cabin is beautiful, well equipped, and functional. In the mornings we ate and relaxed on the front porch. In the late afternoon and evenings spent time on the back porch and around the fire pit. Every day used the fire pit for dutch oven cooking. Spending time in the hot tub after a long day--again, relaxing! And Dave was great to work with, he provided all the details needed, and quick to reply when corresponding. Thank you Dave for sharing your property and helping create some forever memories. We'll definitely be back.
Cute little hideaway
Our family of 5 stayed very comfortably. Everything was there that we needed! Would stay again
